Long story short... the previous owner got some body damage on the hood and driver side fender and did a crappy job fixing it. They used some chemical that is now IN the metal and everytime someone tries to put bond-o on it, it comes off and it is really stressing me out! I would like to know if anyone has encountered this.

If not... does anyone know where I can purchase a hood and fender for a 2001 cl?! I am not trying to be cheap... and will spend some money but I am only seeing them for $400 for EACH part!!

new or used. basically i found a guy that claimed he could do the body parts and paint the car. he painted it, then the bond-o came off... so he will repaint it but says its easier to just replace the parts first.

Pics? I might try another place...I believe that a chemical could have been improperly used, but any metal should be able to be cleaned and primed for bondo and paint without trouble unless its cracked and broken to hell. Bondo should be used sparingly, fyi!
