I just bought my first home here in NJ and I think closing will happen in about a month. Since the houseing market is bonkers right now I had to spend a little more then I thought but that is life right. Anyway......

My 2001 CLS lease runs out in about 10 months and I think the buyout is about 13k-14k. My father said that he is going to buy a new truck next year to replace his 1995 4 door Yukon with 145,000 miles on it. So he said since that truck won't get him very much would I like to have it for free when my lease runs out. Then I would save $439 a month but be driving an older SUV (Given it is in really good shape and leather and all and runs fine) The other thinks I could do are leave the CL leave the truck and go into another finance or lease OR buy out the CL and bury it (it only has 25K miles on it after 3 years)

Any thoughts from those who may have been in this situation?
