i am looking for a 6 speed tranny.. i blew the one in my acura..can anyone help????

It's gonna cost you around $4500 for the transmission alone (clutch, etc extra $)

Also, isn't this covered by your warranty? Will your dealer not cover it because of your apparant supercharger (your name "superchargedcls")

How exactly did your tranny "blow"

here is the story, i added a comptech supercharger, comptech flywheel, A.C.T. 6 puc clutch,threw out the old exhaust and put 2 1/2 inch pipes from the motor back into two remus mufflers.... I was racing at the flatlands in brooklyn and the tranny fluid had been leaking out of the wheel bearing and I had no fluid while racing and I left third gear on the pavement so to speak... But won the race!!!! acura would not honor the warranty because of the scattered shield... It was not placed back in the car when I replaced the fly wheel....

A nationwide boneyard search. I'm sure there is plenty of low mile trannson there.

I had found some sub $1000 when I looked a couple of weeks ago. Check it frequenty, it gets updated daily.

EDIT: there was 10 or so two weeks ago, there is only one now. LOL, try it again for the next few days. You'll find one.

thanks everyone i am happy people are replying to me, i am new here and it helps that you are writing. i was racing a new maxima 3.5 and by the time i reached 3rd gear he saw my rear taillights. then 3rd gear was gone.it is depressing because i have not driven my car in two months and it kills me

Hope you were racing for money, that is the object. Always, and it's a pain, take off all aftermarket items before returning to a dealer for warranty repair, especially if the cost amounts to thousands. Good luck... and you did just miss the six spd on Ebay by about two days.

thanks i know i missed it i was out bidded by someone by 25 dollors only because his comp. was bidding for him any place else i might find one???

A unichip is a piggy back chip that plugs into your car's computer and can change air\fuel ratios, and your timing to create more horsepower and torque. You just missed the group buy on these, but they do not work with the supercharger.

Trans oil through a wheel bearing?

What shield are you talking about?

i know with automatics they are called scattersheild but for manual trannys i am not to sure. a small plate on the tranny that was uncovered and showed the flywheel

Ah I see. That's actually an inspection cover I believe. It just wasn't put back on? You could put it on and take it to another dealer. Might get a hard time with the aftermarket clutch though.

What symptoms are you experiencing that indicate the transmission is "blown".

Awesome! You won the race but now you dont have a clutch. You should get a company to sponsor your race crew.

I have a 2005 Acura TL - S, 6 speed tranny with LSD for sale -- $1500
This will fit and bolt right up perfectly to your engine. It is far much stronger than the 03 CL-S tranny. I have done several swaps with these. Let me know if you want it! I also have the 03 CL - S , 6 speed tranny too but it will take the same price for me to split up the engine swap that i am also selling.
