I have the T1S in 235/35/19 and found them very good in the rain, but the aggressive tread pattern (and/or low profile) exhibits more road noise than expected and good cornering grip.

I just picked up a set of Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance P225/40ZR18 92W from Discount Tire Direct (free shipping): http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...odeIndex=40143

I had them mounted on a day of torential rain! They handled flawlessly!!!

I also got a pair of Nitto NT 555R 205/45/16 Drag Radials for the track to go on my stock rims, also from Discount Tire Direct.

I really like these Nittos!!!!!

I have the Toyos in 225-40-18s and they are amazing !! They are a bit loud, but i'm used to them. Grip is awesome in wet and dry.

On my last two cars i have had nitto 555's, i like them the best. So when i ordered my axis mods i went with the 555's again.

I saw them for 165 a tire on onlinetire.com for 225/35/19, so i went to discount tire and they matched the price of 165 a tire, but there is no shipping charge and free mounting and balancing so i saved like $100 to get them from discount tire.

an inexpensive choice would be the kumho ecsta 712.

they look nice, are quiet, grip well at the track and have good treadwear rating.

how are the tires holding up against pot holes and road abnormalties?

Roads are pretty bad here. I'm trying to avoid getting bubbles if at all possible.

3 of my 4 Kumho Ecsta 712's bubbled due to potholes/bad roads here in DC! I lived near Pittsburgh for 15 years, and know your roads are much worse than down here! I couldn't have had more than 15K on the Kumho's! :thumbsdn:

That's why I bought the Nitto's!

Go with the Sumitomo HTR+ tires.

I got Hankook Ventus on my car, nice tire, but the Sumitomos my cousin has on his load in Atlanta feel and do much beter in the rain and are not as loud on road noise.

Get them at Tires.com and have a ball.

I will never buy nitto 555's again.

2/4 of them bubbled, they are plain SCARY in the rain...dont expect to go over the speed limit in the rain, and in some cases, u cant even do the speed limit.

also, they are HEAVY tires..

get toyo t-1s from here
https://www.treadepot.com/td.c/orders/index.html
or here
http://onlinetires.com/main.html

those are the best prices,
