A neat trick for your CL!!

Here is a neat trick you can do with your CL. This will improve your entry into your car and even impress your passengers. CL has two memory settings for the driver seat and the remote key can activate the particular setting when you push the unlock button. The car comes with two remote controls and each will activate the different setting. If you are not familiar with this memory seat link feature on the remote, check your owner's manual. The following steps are based on assuming your remote has memory #1 link.

1. Move back your driver seat all the way back, both the bottom seat and back rest angle
2. Memorize this position into the #1 setting
3. Move the driver seat to your normal driving position
4. Memorize this position into the #2 setting

Now, whenever you approach your car and unlock the door, the driver seat will automatically move all the way back to make your entry much easier, especially if you're over 6 feet tall. As you are sitting down and about to close the door, push the memory setting button #2 to bring the seat to your normal driving position.

Not all of you will like this trick because you have to push the memory button every time you get into your car. In fact I stopped doing this after a while for the same reason. But it's so cool to see your driver seat move by itself before even you open the door! It's almost like it's welcoming you and trying to help your entry. Some of my friends were really impressed with this. Check it out and let me know if you like it.

My #1 is for me and #2 is for SO. However, I'm willing to go with this for a few to see how it works out. I'm just going to have to explain who's that huge girl driving my car lately....

I've been using this technique for many many months. Makes getting in and out alot more comfortable.

hehe, don't let the SO drive the car. actually, with the way i spoil my car, I think she would be too afraid to drive it if I offered.

#1 is for normal everyday, driving and racing position. (upright)
#2 is for when I'm pimpen my S. usually on the weekends or when I'm w/ some friends. (seat all tilted back and low)

The only thing I hate about ours is that the memory feature only works when the car is in Park. In my old legend the memory seat feature would work no matter what gear your car is in. So when im driving and all of a sudden I have to race I would press 2 and then my seat up tilt up and adjust me in the proper position.

I just found another trick last night --
if you hold down the eject button on the CD changer for few seconds, you will hear a beep and all the CDs in the changer will come out 1 bye 1

Here's another neat trick. Try it tonight. Make your HIDs flicker like a strobe light. What you do is make sure the lights are off and lightly pull the light lever towards you as if you were to turn on the highbeams. Do it slowly and hold it in place as soon as you see your lights flicker. It only lasts for a few seconds though before lighting up all the way, pretty cool trick to get the attention of someone in front of you. I don't recommend doing it all the time though, cause when you do that you'll even here the flickering of it, which could be bad for the HIDs.
