a neat trick for cell phone users (a lot of you probably all ready know this)...
Press the button to release the cup holder covers then pull the cup holders out. You'll notice that you can run a wire from the cup holder area back to the storage area directly behind it (the area under the arm rest). Since there's a power plug here, you can plug up your cell phone cord and run the wire through and keep your cell phone where the cup holders used to be.
I guess the only drawback is that you no longer have use of the cup holders.
Anyway, hope this proves useful to someone.

There is better way, This is the way I store my cell phone on long trips.
There are 2 compartments in the armrest console. The right side of the upper one you will find a small slot big enough to pass the coiled charger cable and you can close the lower part without damaging the cable. I connect the charger in the connector below, leave enough of the cable in the lower compartment so I can open and close the lower door without disconnecting the power/charger cable. Of course, the cell phone will be stored in the upper part.
This way I can open the upper part connect my cell and place it there, close the lid and that is it.
I still have full access of the lower part at anytime without even disconnecting the cable!
I can open the lid and used my cell phone anytime while driving. The only annoying thing is that since the power cable is new it tries to keep short and you feel pulled ....
I also have a $50 hands free ear set/mic that I can use if I want. This way if the call would be long, I would pull over, connect it to my cell and I would ask the caller to call me in couple minutes.
I am very satisified with this setup

If the alternative is to lose both cup holders, i would just pull it out, and drill a hole into the side of the cupholder. If you do it gradually, it will look clean. You can even put a rubber grommet into the hole to make it look professionally done...

On my CLS there is a pass through at the rear of the cup holder. I run my cell phone cord through there and still have use of the front section for a cup. It works well for me.

Sspeaking of cell phones and are cars, cell phones and are stereos to be more precise.
I have a Nokia 6190, Prior to rewireing my stereo my cell phone would interfear with the
stereo. It would create this huming and popping sounds.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I use the CDMA, and never have a problem. I've had passengers using the "older" technology, and get weird cracking sounds from the stereo and strange NAVI behavior that goes away when I turn their phones off.
General info for So Cal users: I believe that only Verizon and Sprint are running CDMA in So Cal.
Rates suck, but quality is much better
