Funny how it is beaten to death seeing as I cannot find anyone stating the differences between the 01 and 02?

go to your nearst Acura dealer, grab 01' CLS brochures and one for the 02' edition and see for yourself. Both are out.

 

The 02' has 360HP and 280lbs Torque, it also has a ultra-CVT tranny with .015% loss and iz available in a 6 speed dualfriction clutch asembly. Itz also all wheel drive, has twin-turbo's and a "turbo-boost" option to jump over Maxima's on da road.. New optionz include solid rocket fuel boosterz, body bad air bags, Brembo parachute pack (for stopping power), Bullet-proof glass, bullet-prrof tires, titanium rims, carbon-fiber body panels, and is solar powered over 55MPH...... 0-60 in 2.88 seconds, 0-100 in 4.0 seconds, 0-1000 in 14.00 (w/optional solid rocket boosters) 1000-0 in 3200 feet or stratosphere....



Seriously biggest changeup is a 6 speed later this year and body kit.. rest iz all cosmetic...

 

02's have body colored mirrors. and will have an option for a under body spoiler.
same engine. and by next spring a 6 speed will be offered.

Same tranny and some minor comsmetic changes (smaller mirrors, etc.).... nothing fancy. The 6-speed may be out mid-year next year, almost like a 2002.5 model. If you do a search, you will find many, many topics about the changes, the brochure, and the tranny.....
