i think windex is a little harsh. just get some glasses cleaner or some more computer screen cleaner. or get the stuff they sell at sunglass huts that smell lemony good.

All I ever use is that little blue cleaner cloth that came with the car for that purpose.
Mine’s never actually gotten DIRTY, just DUSTY.

well... mines gotten dirty few times... but that blue cloth gets grime off pretty good.

as for dust, i use a can of compressed air and maybe one of those static dust wipe things... that way im not wiping dust across the screen as you do with the blue cloth.

once i get debris off, that blue cloth gets any remaining gunk off of it just fine.

Yup.. no cleaner solution needed. My wife (soon to be ex) is a flight attendant and she gets me those shoe polishing cloth. Perfect for your glasses and cleaning the Nav screen.

If I don't use the little blue thingie for cleaning, I use a moist (water) microfiber towel then dry. Spotless.....until my greasy fingers get all over it next time I drive.

Do you guys all drive with the map up or do you sometime turn it off?! On my Dad's '01 TL, he has it so the stars are up and the TIME is displayed in the "center" of the screen not just down in the bottom right hand corner. HOW?!?!

I use the blue cloth and eyeglass cleaner to clean the navigation screen. Does the trick for me. I always use the touch screen, I am too lazy to do manual!

When your screen is showing the 'stars' press on the time and it'll change into the large version.

NO SHIT?!?!?!?!

Thanks.

Guess that's what I get for thinking I know it all and not reading the nav manual.

Do you guys know of any products to remove hairline scratches from plastic like the stuff on our nav screen, or our gauge cluster? I have a straight scratch across my nav screen that a body shop put on there when they were cleaning the car out after a repair, and my gauge cluster is scratched to hell with swirly scratches from cleaning it. Everytime the sun hits either at the right angle it looks horrible and PISSES ME OFF!

You are going to think I am nuts, but......

Get something with a similar screen to experiment with that you no longer have use for. Then, use Brasso....

But experiment first...
