Is the NAVI worth the 2 grand?

I think most people without the NAV think that you have to go in there whenever you drive the car.
I’ve had the car for nearly 2-years and I think I’ve only ever gone to that manual screen 5 or 6 times.
AUTO all the way.

I think you're just trying to convince yourself you made the right decision.
Maybe that’s the case for you----So be it.

yah it is worthy.but canada does not provide navi system.therefore i can only buy the non navi type s.but the after market navi is cool too..it can be fold into your note tray space and i like the non navi climate control placement...the after market navi will cost u somewhere around $2200~$2500 and it has dvd function.
NAVI wasn't cost justified to me.
I don't plan on driving all over the US.
I don't plan on spending $2K on something to look cool.
I'd rather have headers and shocks springs sways.

It does not seem to retain much value at resale - I priced it in with the Kelly Blue Book and it valued it at around 300-400 dollars.

It definitely makes the car look cooler if nothing else!! (By the way it looks cooler than my laptop sitting in my passengers lap too!)"
Take it easy guys! If you thought it was worth the money, then it was the right choice for you. Gohawks63 obviously endorsed it and thinks it's worth the money. I'm just writing another point of view, hell I even made fun of my "navigation system"!!
I'm just making a point that the navigation isn't perfect. For me it didn't justify spending $2000 because it removes some of the basic functionality of the car. I live in Oregon and I drive a lot (35,000 miles a year). I like to be able to quickly and easily adjust my temperature, when it is cold I like to turn the heater on full blast.
If it weren't for the temperature controls I would have bought the one with navigation simply because it does look so cool (and yes I did mention in my first response that a car with Navi was available
). The Kendall Acura dealer told me to just get a double DIN Alpine GPS system that also plays DVD's for $1200 (it looks cool too!). He said that it was rated much higher and has more features than the navigation in the car.
Dsayad, maybe YOU'RE just trying to justify the fact that you paid $2000 for a feature to make sure that people know you have a nice car. Do you even use the navigation
Were you afraid that without it someone might think you're in an Accord? I'm looking at it practically, not from the "I'm cool, see" viewpoint...
I spent the $2000 to buy 18" rims and Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 series tires...silly me, I bought something that I really wanted for my car.

You already stated why you got it...
Does anyone else agree that the temperature controls are a pain to use, or does everyone on the entire board use auto all the time? By the way the inside of the car does look a lot better with the navigation!

Not worth 2k in my opinion. Especially when it has already lost 80% of it's value. I'm amazed at some of the people who are waiting for headers to come down in price, but will drop 2 grand on an elaborate map. I have never once said " i wish i had the navi " I like to spend money on performance. Just my .02

CL Sabre-
I've never had a problem with the AC controls. I leave it on auto most of the time. If I want it warmer, I push the little up arrow. Down for cooler. Works pretty well. And if I do want manual control, its only one button away.

It more than a "glorified map", actually it's safer than someone trying to read a map while they're driving.

Hey, but "to each his own". I just objected to the generalization that people buy the NAV to "Impress people".

Exactly. I remember my Palm 7 (with Mapquest loaded) was pretty good for directions too for considering it was $300. Of course, I gave up the Palm idea too.
I bought my CLS slightly used only slightly caring if it had it, but being without it couldn't change my decision one bit.
I really like the straightforward look without the complication of the Nav.
Especially if buying new, I guess I'd rather spend $2,000 so many other ways, such as wheels, audio Improvement, or headers...etc.
