It wont work when you have your sunroof open with direct sunlight beaming right on it.

Solution: Close the sunroof

Just happened to me yesterday, only time in the whole year. It was one of the few times I parked in direct sunlight and didn't crack the sunroof open. I think the touchscreen can't recognize temperature differences when it's too hot or something.

I had my Navi lockup on me several times one day when it was 100+. Anyone else had this happen? I mean, it just FROZE, I turned the car off and on but the screen was BLACK (off).

hmmm, I had my navi screen mess up on me the other week. It seemed that only half of the screen would work. I never thought about the sun screwing with it, but i did have the sunroof open and it was on a 4hr trip.

I've had the screen mess up on me too. What I mean by this is no matter where I hit the screen, it selects whatever is highlighted. For example, when I want to find a restaurant, I hit category and it chooses to find a place by address because that is what is highlighted by default. This has happened to me three or four times and every time it was exteremely hot in the car.

The second weird thing that happened to me was one time the NAVI seemed to reboot itself in the middle of driving. I didn;t hit any buttons or anything, but the NAVI just reset like I had turned the car on and off. After it reset, it popped up with the same address I was originally going to. I hit OK and I was ok again.

my navi screen froze on me once while i was driving... this was in November (moderate temperature)... anyway, the touch screen wouldn't work or the controls on the side. i even shut the car off and turned it on. luckily it reset itself or something... too bad all my saved addresses were erased...
