Navi Issue/Fix

Does anyone know how i can downgrade my Navi system?
I have version 2.11C in the car and want to go back to version 2.05B

when i put the old version back in the car it says invalid dvd, i tried holding down the button for the door flap and pop dvd's out, but the second you press the eject button it resets itself.

I know the dealer can do it, but anyone know how?

i personally don't like it, takes too long to load and the new coice stinks

so i put it up for sale on the board

i called acura cause last night my navi was acting screwy, getting me lost and putting me in circles

i found out that 2.11C is not compatable with our systems and they ordered me an entire new Navi system, so until it comes in i wanted to put the old system back in

Has anyone else had any issues with the new version in the tri-state area? I was just about to order the new one today, but never got around to it. After hearing this I'll wait. I've been burned too many times with trying to find gas stations that don't exist anymore, new construction post 2002...etc.

rbf351...under the FAQ section on www.acuranavi.com:

If I don't like the new disc, can I go back to the old one?

Yes, but because of the extensive program changes, this must be done by your dealer. You would loose any additions made to your previous destinations and personal address book made after you installed the update.

yeah but i got it when it first came out, so right now i'm dealing with Acura themselves trying to get a refund on the dvd since the service manager is blaming the dvd for my navi crashing

Sorry guys but i'm a bit confused. I just got my 01 CLS w/ Navi and the guy at the dealership said that i had the original Navi disc. He tossed the disc when he sold me the car and ordered me a new Navi disc and it just got in today.

Is this new disc not compatible with my system or should i just try it out? I'm heading there in a few minutes. Is there anything to look for before they install this disc?

I too had problems when I upgraded ... the screen would get all messed up at times and the dealer said the unit had gone bad (same time I upgraded ... ummm). Tried to go back and they said it couldn't be done. They said the called HQ or somewhat and confirmed you couldn't go back. Good luck.

What do you mean "not compatible"? I just installed the Ver. 2.11C and it seems to be working fine for me. And if this version is not compatible, why would Acura give us this upgrade?

I spoke to Acura Denville (where I purchased) and they haven't heard anything about 2.11C being not compatiable with the 03 Navi system. Still debating if I should make the attempt.

Maybe we should take a poll here to see whose had problems in this area with 2.11C or if this was just an isolated instance.

I have a 2.11 upgrade in my Navi in tri-state area -- no problems at all. I use it every day.
