The thing on the roof is actually the cellular antenna for communicating with OnStar or using the built-in phone.
The NAVI antenna is INSIDE the car, below the rear parcel shelf.
The same place it's been since 2001.

I suppose you could buy the rubber piece and glue it onto your roof if that’s the type of look you’re going for.

Here's the NAVI antenna........

That rubber dickie is ugly, I've been wanting to remove it but then you have a hole that will probably leak no matter what you cover it with. When I first got the car I was parked in a store parking lot and I saw something on top of my car, it was a white plastic shopping bag that had flown up and gotten caught on the little rubber dickie, lovely.

Shawn did you remove that rear deck w/o taking the back seats out? If so, what's the trick?

No….. Unfortunately you need to unfasten the rear seat to get the shelf out.
This picture was taken after I took it apart for the tint job.
There’s no way around this because the fasteners for the rear parcel shelf are blocked by the rear seat.

My instructions were recently cut/pasted on page one of this thread: http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...4&page=1&pp=25

Ya I found that thread a few minutes ago (and the associated extra pics). Didn't realize you had put the seat backs back in place after removing the rear deck. Thanks.

Yea, I had to drive around for a couple of days like that so I buttoned it back up as best I could.
The seatback is very bulky and difficult to remove from the car without scratching things up with the protruding metal.
So your best bet is to just move it out of the way, remove the shelf, and then put it temporarily back in place until the tint job is done.

The Navi antenna is located inside. The antenna you are referring to that's mounted on the roof is the cellular antenna for OnStar.
