After reading about the headaches you guys had to put up with installing stone headers and the other problems with the OBX headers, I am totalling content with my decision to purchase Comptech headers. Yes, they are terribly expensive, but after much research on these boards, I decided that quality does not come cheap. They've been installed about a month now and I've had absolutely no problems. In the future gentleman, stick with a known quality product.

When dealing with aftermarket companies you really just never know. Really, you only got past the fitment.

I thought the difference between the auto and the 6 speed version is only one pipe that's bent on the 6 speed? So wouldn't modyfing (bending) one pipe from the auto headers to fit the 6 speed be easier than going through all this trouble? All you'd have to do is cut the one pipe, have someone bend it and weld it back it, it can't be THAT much work, plus for not even $300, it's still a lot cheaper than the stones. Someone should try that.

Feelin your pain
I just did the OBX headers on my 01 CL-P.
Fitment wasnt exactly proper - took some creative taps on the headers to get them onto the head properly.
front bank was hella easy to bolt up to the collector - the rear bank was a bitch - follow the instructional order that is posted all over the place on here - it does work![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I made the mistake of bolting the collector on without reinstalling the 02 sensor first... DOH!
Pull it all back apart now that you've gotten it all lined up.......... put the damn 02 sensor in - and put it back together again.
The resonance is becoming more and more noticeable - I think I'm going to get under it again this weekend (after about 800 miles on them) and tighten things up a bit if need be. No leaks that I can tell - and the butt-dyno loves the HP gain.

the final chapter of my excursion into the "HEADER ZONE"
took mine into the dealer today for trans recall work. while on the lift, they checked & confirmed the exhaust fittings were properly torqued. and "YES FRANK..... YOU DO STILL HAVE AN EXHAUST LEAK" somewhat minor, i believe, was his comment. soooo, says i , do you think i might someday secume to exhaust asphixciation. (he sort of screwed-up his face, shrugged his sholders and said "stay out of traffic jams, we like you as a customer.)
a real confidence builder , this guy

the last time he was online was 9/2/04 (that is when he came on here and post within this thread).
I hope nothing serious happened to him.... Nash is not the type at all to stiff someone for a couple bucks.

Or he could have a brand new account via a different ISP in his current area and be reading this right now.

You should also read the whole thing, it does indicate he could drive there, when Nashua lived in NH, Nash moved and is no longer available for contact. This would be why he hasn't gone directly to him to get the money or replacement parts or something.
