Nashua to Montreal 295 Miles for 1/2 tank!
More info:
Before leaving Nashua, I was on the red light. I filled up. The pump clicked on some 13.4 Galons. However, as it is the case before leaving to Montreal, I filled up to the rim, I filled some 16.3 Galons for $28!
Also I checked the tire pressure on the Blizzaks and set it to 36-37 PSI all around.
1/2 the way to Montreal it was raining hard and I was doing 65-75 MPH. (Ah... the blizzaks are horrible on the HW above 65 MPH, worse it was raining and the CLS felt scary on hilly-billy curves!)Once the rain stoped and with the help of CC, I was doing 75-85 MPH.
5 Hrs later (including 3 rest stops) at the destination, I have used exactly 1/2 tank for some 296 Miles..I guess I used 8-9 Galons so it would be 32.8-37.0 MPG.
Once back home, I will post a picture of the dashboard for you all to see.. Not bad for such trip

I doubt you got that kind of mileage. The only way to know how much gas you used is the fill up the tank (the same way as before). Looking at the gas gauge only gives you a very rough estimate.

I recently got 32.8mpg on a trip to the Grand Canyon. Not bad at all for a 3.2L V6 with as much passing power as we had . With a rating of 19-28mpg, I wasn't expecting to ever get much over 30... very impressed with the 32.8, especially since that was at 75 mph and high elevation...

Don't go by your gas guage - it's HORRIBLY inaccurate. I know that the first half of my tank goes by very slowly, and the second half drains out like i have a huge hole in the tank. The gas light is reliable, but i go by the numbers on the pump - i'll be that if you were to go fill up now it'd take 10 gallons or more.
I'll be interested to see if you make it back on the same tank.

Ah ...did I mention that I dodged 3 5-0 leeches!
Just after passing Lebanon, NH and heading to Burlington, VT, the rain finally stoped.
The first, it was a staty who has already pulled over some poor guy after clearing a hill. V1 went nuts on Ka and k, I was on the right lane and kept the same pace... around 75 MPH
The second was another staty (ghost car) parked harmlessly on the midean, V1 silent, no action no nothing.
The third one freaked me out. It was a white local-town trooper parked half way on the downhill, I was on the left lane doing 75-80 MPH.. 0.25 mile before passing I slowed to 70 MPH and then used SS to 65 and set the CC, stayed on the left lane...
The V1 was silent, just after I passed the trooper, a quick look on the rear mirror and OPPS! Brake lights on, crazy blue lights on... he pulled in after me... I quickly reacted intuitively and snatched the V1 and hided it below the passenger seat. I Pulled to the right lane and stayed with the traffic...
I was was I lazed ... 2 miles down the road.. I the town boy in his white cruiser passed me harmlessly on the left.. no lights no nothing... V1 was silent too...
3 dodged... let us see how many would be on the way back...

Ah... the pavement on HW-15 in Quebec was crap.. I felt that I was lucky to have the soft 55 series blizzaks.. it was like a rally cicruit not a HW.. but why complain all Canadian HW are crap after a long winter.

On the way back from Montreal and after 438 Miles (including 50 miles driving in Montreal like ronon... I filled 12.785 Gallons. I could not top it off cause the Sunnco pump stops pumping after the first click!)
So that is 438 miles / 12.785 = 34.258 MPG.
I was really hard on the CLS, cause I chased my brother's car to catch him before he reaches the airport
Anywas, here is the picture after driving 296 miles:

wish i knew u were up there this weekend... so were Astro & I...
Albany to montreal (dunno how many miles that is) was a lil bit less then half a tank...
Spent 3 days driving round montreal... also ronin style... used a lil bit less then another half a tank... used half coming home.
Oh and actually... it wasnt even Albany to Montreal... it was Albany to Nassau (on Mass border... nother 30 miles out the way) to Montreal.
So not bad. $40 in gas for the whole trip. All because I didn't have to fill up on that expensive mother fucking canadian gas... those stupid shits should have just joined in the war with us

Well some of you are getting very impressive mileage. I hope that my new 6 speed will see 30 or more on the highway. Are all of you using cruise control? And at what speed?

I cannot top it off because I plan on being on the drag strip this weekend...
In any case, let us say if I can top it of by 2-3 Gallons.
Max MPG = 438 miles / 12.785 = 34.25 MPG
Mid MPG = 438 miles / 14.785 = 29.62 MPG
Low MPG = 438 miles / 15.785 = 27.74 MPG

i can't imagine how you can get that MPG if we have the same exact car (and mine is stock) ... 26 is about my average but never do i get 34 ... or even close to 30.

Nashua has an intake and headers which might give you a little better gas mileage, right? I am taking a trip this weekend out the Fingerlakes in NY (after stopping on Friday for Skip Barber driving school). I'll post what I got for mileage when I get back on Tuesday. Going back and forth to work which is 60%/40% highway and small roads I get 22-24mpg. I have an intake and headers now too but on my last long highway trip without the intake and headers I was getting 26-28mpg.

I get about 22-24, although I've had a tank or two since the intake and headers that have been 24-26. Of course, my driving was a little tame on those tanks.
My best ever was the trip last summer from Portsmouth, NH to Knoxville, TN, and onward to Athens, GA, and then back to Portsmouth, NH. I think I averaged about 31-32 for that trip, even with putzing around Knoxville and Athens.

Okay I filled up again.. I tope some 2 Gallons.
I filled 15 Gallons for 345.5 miles.
Last fill up was 12.785 for 438 miles.
So for a total 783 miles I used 27.785 Gallons.. and that is including 4 1/4 mile passes.
MPG is 28.18 MPG.

When you fill back up you should really use the same pump too. Not all of them put the same ammount of gas in (autostop). LOL unless you top it up to the CAP manually
