I had my car on a lift doing the brakes and notices the rubber monts that the tranny is sitting on are broken. Does anyone know how much they cost, will it damage the car driving with broken tranny mounts, the tranny still sitting on the rubber mounts, but you can lift it up!

I have, they were just as broke as you described them. I remember them cost around $90, but I don't remember if that was for one or both.

YES YES My mounts are both like that?
How much was labor, or did you do it yourself?
If you did it yourself was it hard to do?
Thanks for the info!

I didn't do it myself, the labor was like $80. It looks fairly do-able but I didn't have any time to mess with it myself when I found out they were broken.

I just ordered the parts from OPen road Acura. Both mounts were $60.
PAA wanted $80. I am gonna have one of the techs at my job do it for a case of beer. I am gonna make sure he dont start drinking the beer till he is done doing it though!

Is that the rear Trans mount or the front one? Do you by any chance have the part number of the broken mount in the avi?

THanks!

I dont think there is any other way to tell.. My car was driving fine, I would have never known. The tech at the DLR where I work (friend of mine) was changing my brakes and noticed it when he had the car on the lift. You have to get the car on a Lift or get under your car to tell because it drives pretty much the same mounts broken or not. The techs said its not good to leave them broken even though they still sat perfect on the frame cuz the added stress might break the engin mounts!
