Is my tranny going????

Hey guys, need a little advise. My '01 has about 91K miles, still in the original transmission. When I'm in SS and D5, I'm feeling a series of small lunges when going from 2nd to 3rd. No lights are coming on, but it's starting to worry me because I'm getting to 100K. If it keeps happening and no lights turn on, can I still take it to Acura??

Thanks

Did you buy it at Churchill or Vander? Lets both go up there one day so they can drive it and check it out. You still have a ways to go untill 100K.

No I didn't buy it at an Acura dealership. I hope they don't charge me to check the tranny. I might be better off waiting until some light actually come on. I do need to go order my white grille surround!!

We should take it over to either David McDavid or Vandergriff, have them check it out and get your grill! Better yet, mine went out a couple of years ago, I could let you know if its somthing you should worry about.

Sorry Treyster, sounds like it's on the way out. Looks like you'll be updating your signature soon. On the bright side, it will probably shit itself before 100k.

I wish I could go to Trance's. Gotta work on Saturday.........AGAIN.

No you actually arent. You can still get a new transmission out of Acura even after 100,000 miles. My saleman informed me while I was in for service that a lot of CL's come in after 100,000 and get them replaced. Honda helps out (he said) either 25%, 50% or in full, depending on service records.

Yep.

Since I get my service done at Vandergriff, maybe they will take care of my transmission if (or should I say when) it craps out again.
