Ok, this morning I stop at a gas station, and I noticed the strangest thing .. I turn my car off, pull out the key .. but my stereo is still playing?

I had a CD in there and it kept playing. I had to manually hit the power button on the CD Changer. Then I got back in and I had to hit the power button to turn the thing on again ..

Then I got back in and drove to work, and the same thing when I got to work, I had my key in my hand and the damn thing was still going .. I'm completely confused

Between rain spots and playing radios, I can't keep up with you! Doesn't the CL have "retained power" for about 5-10 minutes AFTER you shut off the car so that you can close the moonroof or the windows?

The extended on only applies to the moonroof, and windows. The stereo doesn't stay on and shouldn't. Once you open your doors the power is off.

I never noticed. Thanks. I knew there was retained power, but wasn't sure what stayed on. On my 96 Buick Riv, the radio, as well as the windows/moonroof, could be operated.

I am so sure that my stereo would go off everytime I turned the ignition off .. regardless of whether I opened my doors or not. But during lunch I will try to see if it shuts off once I open my doors

yeah thats why I was confused .. cuz thats how it has always been for me till this morning too. I mean I've had the car for over a year now and everytime Ive sat in a parking lot waiting for someone I've had to had the key inside and turned one quarter turn atleast for the radio to be on.
