My Projector Headlight Plan?
AZ,
Currently, I have a set of Mini Morimoto Bi-Xenon Projectors that were initially for my 92 Accord JDM 1 piece headlights however, have since sold her...
Anyhoo, was thinking to use the current projectors on my '01 CL-S headlights
I need to open the headlights up anyways, to clean some debris currently in there. PLUS planning on black housing them as well, and figured maybe to mount these projectors in.
These projectors use H1 HID bulbs and has mini gatling shrouds.
Here are pictures of the Mini Morimoto Bi-Xenon Projectors...
My buddy has a set mounted in his SiR headlights...
Worth the time and effort due to their size?
Will output be just as equivalent to say TSX projectors and their output?
Worth converting the OEM HID setup to accomodate the Mini's?
Your thoughts?

The Minis are good projectors:
The do need some modding to be used to their fullest potential. The hotspot isn't at the rise of the cutoff, its slightly to the right. You need to move the cutoff shield to the left a few millimeters to get it to line up so you can get the most light out of them.
When did you get them? The older models have issues with the return spring on the bixenon solenoid. It shouldn't matter if you are just using them as low beams however.
They wont be as easy to install as it would in your Accord. Our bulbs are D2R and the bulb holders are completely different compared to H1/9006 openings. You will need to make some brackets and install them like any other projector retrofit in our housings.
And the Minis will not fit within the confines of housing on the high beam side, so if you did want to run quads you would need fabricate an extension for the rear of the housing and cut alot of the high beam reflector out, then make some brackets.
