My poor man's brembos

After returning my CL's calipers, these will come out to about 50 bux. (This includes some pads that I'm not planning to use) Gonna do the install sometime this week. Few Q's:

Will I be able to use legend brackets? They are in much better shape than mine..

And how much brake fluid should I buy for bleeding?

Any other tips/comments welcome!

no, you have to use your brackets or they wont fit. if you plug the lines quickly then you wont need much fluid at all.

From cardone. Someone in the family works there, so it came out pretty cheap.
I also got some pads with them too, but I'm planning to use my hawk HPSs.

For this project, you only need to do the front two calipers.

As soon as you find a set of calipers that will fit the rear of the CL, let us all know

You can retrofit the legend and NSX calipers for the front CL calipers, but there's isn't a known upgrade for the rears....

We are talking about "poor man" solutions here... what's the BBK's go for in comparison to the relatively cheap legend calipers ??

I used the NSX ones, not my stock ones. I'm not sure if the Legend ones are different.

Those look to be in good shape. Enjoy them. I know I did.

With regard to a poor man's solution, maybe a BBK isn't the best idea after all.

cardone parts numbers are as follows:
19-1744 right (unloaded, no bracket)
19-1745 left (unloaded, no bracket)

for some reason I got a loaded set of calipers with brackets (17-1744 and 17-1755). I have no idea how the pads are, and im not planning on using them. Oh well..

get them powdercoated instead! I just powdercoated my NSX calipers and it came out great! and they wont fade over time like paint will!

I thought you already had a set. And I'm pretty sure your posts were what made my decision to get a set.
