My dad says that I don't look good driving my CLS because its too big. He suggested the C230 Kompressor. He said that a smaller car suits me more. If everything goes right I should be getting it during the summer. The funny thing is that I have only driven my car for 7 months only with 12000KM on it. By the time I get rid of it, I estimate that it will have 20000KM at most and has be driven for just under 1 year. Any other suggestion of other small cars around 35000-40000 CDN?

I am getting bored of the CLS anyways, I don't mind getting a new car, even if its less in dollar value or slower. I personally like luxury more than racing type now.

Is the C230 under $40k Cdn? I would take a RSX Type X over it.
A Benz is a Benz, but I would also take a GTI, or a IS300 ahead of it. The Lexus is about $43 or so I think.

Most of my friends drive BMW (euro cars) that are modified very nicely. One has a 325i E46 with full Racing Dynamic kits, Dinan Carbon CAI, DTM exhaust cat back, lowered, and for some reason a S-AFC from Apex'i.... Another has a 330i E46 with Hamman kits, lowered and Remus exhaust. I just want to join back the group in moding euro cars together. I now reget that i trade my E-Class
for the CLS. I can either buy a Benz or take my dads 330Ci and let him drive my CLS

I understand Crazy, what I would prefer is a Z3 3.0i, but the problem is that my dad has a 330Ci already and i don't think he'll get me a Z3, the new car will not be a BMW most likely. I've been looking through alot books and found some used C36 and C43 for around 35000-50000 the and they all have at least 50000KM on them.

 

After that suggestion, I would no longer trust my dad

E36 M3: hard to find one in good condition, usually has been beaten down by previous owner. Not alot of people use M3s as casual driving car.

Have you looked at the Nissan 350z? (i know you said nothing sporty, but it has some luxery features)

The mercedes is nice, but thats the bare bottom line of mercedes. It's their econo car. Buy a used BMW they drive night and day to the CL-S. And the fit and finish isn' comparable, BMW takes it all the way. lol, if the CLS was too big, I was going to suggest a used 850i or 840i Don't forget Lexus too!

Acura is *near* luxery on the CL-S, it's not quite... keep that in mind.

I know its a econo Benz. I would prefer a C230 Kompresspor or a C280 of the pervious gen (W202) C-Class to mod over the new C-Coupe.

Blah! IMO, I hate the coupe....It's basically not a benz in my eyes. Have you seen that thing? Honestly if it were made by another company, it would be an okay car...but it is a benz. Benz = Luxury (real wood panels, leather, etc..)

Coupe = no wood, cloth interior....

but why the hatchback look??? y must they build a less expensive car in a hatchback??? i thought a few years back when Mercedes offered the C-Class sedans starting at $29K was pretty reasonable, especially during the tech boom when EVERYONE was making money!!

I was looking at the "bitch car" too 2 weeks ago before I bought my S last weekend. Its nice but when I test drove it, I was bored after 10 min of it. Take your dads 330CI, thats more sporty and more lux than the MB. Plus a BMW is a BMW and I would say that about the 230, but that sure aint no damn MB. Take the 330 and you wont regret it.

BTW, the Z3???? THATS THE BIGGEST BITCH CAR OF THEM ALL.
