My new Comptech exhaust

Just got these puppies.

Am I on glue or do they look different than the ones shown on Comptech's site?

Not that I'm complaining...I'm quite satisfied...just curious.

Will post pics after body kit and stereo system installed. Should be within the next couple weeks

I was talking about this part...where the tip meets the muffler.

Or have I been sniffing that krazy glue too much and hallucinating?

i think they are different. but little revisions like this are usually improvements over first design. if it looks and fits good, then there is nothing to worry about.
also, if you can get a nice sound clip of it, that would be great too!
i can host that if needed!
let us know how it sounds either way.

I just got mine on today and it sounds much better than before. Nice deep sound when you get on it. Only down side is that there is droning at 80mph in 5th or at 2250rpm.

I'm not worried about the revision at all. In fact, I'm quite happy about it. That little part was the only thing I hated about the exhaust.

I'll try to get a sound clip. I'm a student at Vancouver Film School. I should be able to get my hands on some nifty audio recording gear...heh heh.

As for the droning, I've come to expect that from most aftermarket exhausts.

I had the GReddy EVO before. Great catback...only, I didn't notice any gains...and it was a bit pricey.

If I lived south of the border I would have bought it again. Such a hassle to sell it to a cross-border buyer...ugggh...I hate UPS and Fedex.

That's more than enough reason to buy an exhaust. You can't go driving around with a messed up exhaust...you'll make the board look bad

Yeah they definitely got rid of that support piece. You can't see it anyway.
