My nerves are fried after my trip to my dealership today!!!!!
First, I find out that the service guy I trust with my baby quit yesterday...........THAT SUX!!!!!!!!! I had a card for a 10 dollar oil change, which I've used before, and they wouldn't accept it. Then, when the tech was backing my car up, one of the porters was backing up too, and they almost hit each other.....needless to say, I was getting queasy. I don't know what to do. The service guy that I trusted is gone. I used to give him a $10 hand shake, and my worries were over. Now, I don't ever want to leave my car there with out me being there........ I DON'T TRUST MY DEALER ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was this guy a service advisor? Or a technician? I've got a service advisor who has been great to me and I would just hate it if he ever left. But anyways, just try to find out where he's moved on to. Maybe it's even another Acura dealership that's nearby?

I guess I'm going to have to go back to Woodfield. I dealt with Chris when I got my warped rotor problem fixed. They really took care of me, but it's a little out of my way.

As I mentioned, I bought my car from Woodfield. I originally was going to buy from Arlington. That's where I saw the WDP TL and I fell in love. Arlington gave me a decent price, but I thought I could do better. Well when I left, I found out that NO ONE had any WDP TL/navi. Woodfield did have one, and long story short, they gave me the best price.
After about three thousand miles, I noticed that my rotors were warped and my wipers were smudging real bad. Seems there was a TSB for both. I took it in on a Saturday and I mentioned to Chris that I also noticed this slight imperfection on one of the wheels. It was real minor and I thought they would give me a hard time about it. At first i thought I was going to wait for it, but Chris says "This will take a while, why don't I get you a loaner so you don't have to wait around". Pretty cool considering that most dealers want you to schedule a loaner in advance.
Anyway, he calls me later in the day and tells me that they'll have to keep it until Monday since the wiper fix was pretty extensive. Seems that some TLs left the facotry with washer fluid that had too much alcohol. The fluid was breaking down the rubber of the wipers and the plastic tubing and that all had to be replaced and the system flushed. He also said that his manager would be in on Monday so they could discuss the wheel.
Chris calls me Monday morning to tell me to pick up my car. I ask him about the wheels (expecting him to brush it off). To my surprise, he tells me that they replaced three of the four wheels, along with the center caps and all of the lug nuts!!! I didn't even notice anything on the other wheels, but apparently they did.
My brother gets his MDX serviced there along with his prior Legend and he is pretty satisfied with them also.
I don't have as much history with Chris as I did with Barry, but he did take care of me.
More than you probably wanted to know, but I figured I'd tell you where I was coming from.
If I find out where Barry went, I'll definitely let you know!
