Is my Front windshield OEM?

It says Lamisafe on it. Can someone please check their CL front windshield to see if it says that as well? Thanks!

I've wondered that too whether it was OEM. I don't recall seeing an acura logo nor a Honda logo on the front driver windshield.

just checked on my TL, and it says HONDA right above where it says the lamisafe,
and it was located at the driver side lower courner


and i think the lamisafe might have to do something with how it is laminated glass or something, and not the brand

Lamisafe IIRC is just the way its made, its tempered glass so it doesn shatter into a large shards and cut someone up.

But I think its supposed to say Honda on it somewhere.

the windshield is laminated glass, it doesnt break into any pieces, it just cracks.
the side windows are tempered, it says tempered on them.

it is actually the trademark name of the glass that is present


like teflon or kevlar for dupont, trademarked names

well the windshield is still laminated and probably tempered as opposed to the other windows which is simply tempered.

also tint on the other windows also acts like them being laminated in a way too, when they get shattered, most of the pieces and such stay with the tint, so glass does not go flying every where

ive seen a window shattered and the tint was holding it together. kinda sucks bc no u have to get a new window and retint it. and depending on how long u have had the tint. it wont look right bc of the elements. ull deff tell the diff between new and old

better then cleaning glass from all over the car though, and getting poked by it months later, and it just means you have to go darker on the tint all around


and if you still want no tint, they also make clear security film also, which has the same effect just not tinted

My Civic was nearly broken into in the first 48 hours of ownership. The driver side window was shattered but the tint held it together. Im assuming something spoked them so they left. It probably was also because I had this:



That was when I first got the car, I made a few adjustments before I sold it.

I friggin loved that car. I bought it for $500 and sold it with no motor and swapped out my K-Sports for some shitty ebay coils on stock struts for $450.

my factory glass didnt say honda either but my new one say ppg or some bull.... but thats what u get for letting insurance deal with it
