Are my front sway bushings shot ?
I was just out with the car and the steering feels unstable and every once in a while I hear a click.
I checked all my work for the 100th time.
And the only thing I see is I can pull the whole sway bar to the right and the left about a half inch and the bolts will not tighten up.
My bushings are shot right ?

If thats bushings spray some wd40 that will be quickest way to find out what it is. Graphite grease would be the best choice for bushings i belive. If the bushings ran out of grease they start to squeak. Rubber bushings becomes harder with colder temperature.

I'm not consirned with the noise. I'm consirned when the sway bar is shifting from left to right.
So insted of the sway bar bending/flexing with the suspension.
It slides a half inch before it will get to the point where it would start bending/flexing.
So It feels sloppy switching lanes on the highway.
And if I take fast conners when I turn straight there is a wobble and it does not feel like I have full control.
