okay these are mine:

89 in 65
76 in 45
68 in 35
49 in 25

the last two i was going faster but both times i convinced the cop to write me for slower so i didn't hit the double the speed limit fine

Yeah, those double the speed limit ones suck!

I have actually only had the one (knock on wood) and that was over 3 years ago

I should go back and find my 110 in a 55 ticket in Texas for a cool $218; scan and post it. I still get the shakes thinking about it. After nearly 15 years ago....

You guys have it cheep. Maximum fine in CT, @ 84MPH, is $385 (if memory serves). 85MPH and you get arrested, court, for reakless driving. Most cops are cool and will drop the speed to the maximum, ticket'able limit of 84 but I guess it comes down to what your definition of cool is...

How about some years ago after the Northridge CA earthquake. They set up a nice radar trap on a 6 lane road out in the San Fernando valley (marked for 40 MPH).

Everybody is doing 55-65 I get popped for 62 *and* have to appear ("Your day for a ticket son") Watch out for Burbank, Bev Hills, and parts unknown. Some of the places have these "specials" going on. In some Cal. communities they can mash you for doing 10-15 miles per hour over the limit. (You must appear *and* pay up big time!)

My price ----> $320.00

They were asking who didn't speak English and were non-citizens to sit on the left. One of these guys was "visiting" with a 1st or 2nd no-license offence, and a blown stop sign, and got off for $45. (The 502s, reckless drivers got to sit on the right, with the speeders and John Q Public in the center.)

They locked the doors, would not let anyone in except "Violators", police, and lawyers.

No spectators allowed!

And here is the best part. On the right -- is Monte Hall (the DA) going, "Lets make a deal". He is asking 502s and reckless drivers if they would like to pay $200, etc to just bargain down and split.

Hmmm... Where is that V1 again?

You guys all have it cheap. In MA you pay 50 for first 10 miles over and then 10.00 per mile. Get caught doing 120 in a 65 zone...

well now... 500.00

Get caught in Los Angeles doing 120 and you will be paying for your bail *and* attorney. Forget about 3 figures, start at 4 figures.

I always like those chase scenes where some guy is doing 75-80mph and the Helicoptor reporter is saying, "Wow, he is totally reckless. He is just blowing by the traffic. He must be doing 70, no now he is at 75. Oh my God! There going for the spike strips."

(The previous is not an endorcement to end up on Police pursuit videos...)

Dude, i feel you, but i got a speeding ticket yesterday, for doing 90 in a 70, so the damn trooper says.

My 2nd ticket in 3 months and now i feel like i'm gonna get shafted, b/c i'm Asian and going to Hick central, to see the JP.

BTW, can a trooper refuse to let you see the radar reading? Does it have a memory or once it is cleared then it is lost, because i was wondering if i can say that he could not have shot me with the radar. And he would have not proof.

First ticket for parking huh? My first ticket was for 66 in a 55 while running a red light and having no insurance.
