My CompTech's Are Rusted
No need to take pics... they look just like everyone else's from the thread last year. Only the rear springs are showing rust, but the rear sway is also rusted. How did CompTech handle this issue? Did everyone get refunds/replacements? I'm a big CompTech customer (I've owned every mod they make except the strut bar). Did the more "loyal" customers have better luck? I know Shawn and Smitty definitely had theirs replaced.
I haven't decided if I want to go with Tein SS-P's with EDFC or the cheaper route (H&R or Eibach) I do have Koni Yellows so I'd like to keep them.
Thanks guys
~ Steve

2 year warranty on Springs... Contact the vendor you purchased the parts from, get a receipt, forward it on to Comptech along with your wishes and sit and wait, wait wait, wait and wait.
I of course was a squawking bird and the squawking bird always gets heard..
They wanted to charge my credit card for the full price of new springs, send me new and IMPROVED springs... make me pay for the install of the new springs and then pay to send the old springs back to them.. ....
They did not charge my card for the springs.. I installed the new set with Koni Yellows.. shipped the rust-tech springs back to them...
6 months later the ass end of the car looked like it was sitting low.. I took everything off.. sold the Comptech (which are now made by Eibach) and sold the Koni yellows as well...
Sitting on TEIN SS-P w/ EDFC and could not be happier.. granted the TEINS ran me over $1000.. it is well worth it... I love how I can adjust the ride height.
I have to admit, I do not play with the EDFC as much as I thought I would... but it is a nice option... although I do not feel much difference between setting #14 and #0 ..

Your set up should be fairly new, so I think they should change them for you. If the Koni's are good, I would go with H&R springs for now and use the money you save for other mods. Just my .

They must have used the same powder coat on the TSX springs. I bought a used set from someone and the are rusted in the same manner. The bad part is that the warranty does tranfer even though they are less thean a year old. I think if you make a shitty product you should replace them no matter what!!!

I keep forgetting to check my Sways.
I’m not sure if they’re rusting or not.
At least they’re easier (and cheaper) to replace then springs are. Not that that’s any concession.
As mentioned above, after many phone calls and E-Mails I got Comptech to refund the price of my springs AND pay to have my TEIN coilovers installed at Park Avenue Acura.
