I was driving home from work yesterday, and whileI was sitting at a stop light, I saw this lowered early 90's Civic hatch back with rims and a body kit pulling right next to me. I looked over, and he was looking at my car with a cocky grin on his face. So the light turns green, and we just stomped on it, I thought I can take this kid out without a sweat, but I was wrong... As soon as he came out of the first gear, all I have heard is a loud "Pshhh.." He had me by half of a car until third gear, when I and slowly and finally gained on him. By the time I hit fourth gear, I was going about 100 -110 MPH, I had finally beat him by 3/4 of a car. We had to stop at a traffic light after that. I talked to him for a while at the traffic light and he told me he has a 1st generation JDM B16A with a custom fitted Greddy turbo on it, he said his turbo was shot, otherwise he would have killed me (What a cocky little punk, right?). But all in all, it was a good and fun race and a very difficult victory.

 

Nice kill! You never know what ya gonna get with those hatchbacks.

Well, yea, he is a cocky kid... but i think he is telling you the truth tho... B16 in a light weight is quick already... probally can hang with auto CLS.... with turbo est 200whp and only 2300lbs, i dont see why he couldnt kill you hard...... on freeway maybe different story, but off the line, i dont see why not..... B16 with full engine mod and turbo running 13psi, mid 13s is easy for them...... BUT of course, driving is a big big big thing too... cuz people with turbo love to sleep at the light....

nice kill. He was right, civic with a b16 turbo..........simple power to weight ratio. Unfortunately, our cars are heavy

 

Civic will destroy are car with a turbo i use to own one that went 11.55 at 122mph of course the motor was built with DFI

I'm sure you guys are like me, you get a lot of cars trying to run you. many people don't know what Ludes or CL's have until they are spanked!

 

Those civics are a handful. I almost got beat at the track by a early to mid 90's hatchback at the track with my 2k2 Max. I beat him by like .15. I was with a bunch of people from Autothority and they weren't surprised. Endless mods and no weight.

 

its a 50/50 thing some are more looks, but some are alot more than just looks!

 

Do u live in NOVA....if you do i might know the hatch ur talking about. Was it red? He runs low 13's.....

 

is the red hatch your talking about have a CF hood and riding on stock black steelies. if it is, he's supposedly running mid 12's on street tires and low 11's-high 10's on slicks,but this kid doesnt have a body kit.

 

I am from Richmond, VA, the car was a white hatchback with white wheels.

 

the guy im talking about has military decals......and he didnt have a CF hood.
