My CD player isnt working...

This is realy fcked up, I try to eject a CD, and then it makes a weird noise..and then it says error..and then it goes to radio. I dont know what happened, but it sounds like the motor is broken or something...none of the CD's seem to work, if i hit eject or any of the presets it makes that weird noise with the error prompt and then switches to radio automatically.... I never cleaned my CD player, could this be the reason??? I'm bringing it to the dealer on Monday...

try not to fix it yourself.as u might damage it or scratch its face plate.bring it back to your dealer and they will fix that for u for free..under warranty.

Yep. Your radio is dead. I had the same problem on my 2002. And it's less then 2 MONTHS OLD!!!! Seems since I reported this problem on this board around dec 27th, it's happening to many more people.(Guess I put a curse on ) I was also told the radio was on backorder, but my dealer "found" one, & put it in in 2 days. Sorry man.

mang! The same thing happened to me yesterday! WTF!!!!!!!!!!! I called the dealer and he said "the manual recomends you clean the system every 50 hours" Shit....I've never cleaned my CD player, and I've had the car for 7 months now (15,000 miles). Could they make me liable since I havent cleaned the CD player? Are my CD's recoverable? Thanks!

btw...I'm a newbie.

Bull, it's a Acura. CD changers are not supposed to do this. If this dealer makes a stink about it, go somewhere else. I sure hope I get my CD's back. I had 5 stuck in the changer. They had to send it back to acura to open it up & get them. I am going to call today & see what's up with that.
