My blown CL-P at the track...

disappointing...

Bah. I fucked up on both takeoffs. Hesitated and froze. Ugh. You guys will see how badly I fucked up in the vids. Horrible shit. But for being a track newbie I think it went ok. I had fun and saw some nice ass cars including a GTR and of course the usual muscle cars and Civics. Bleh. In the race against the Mustang GT I ran a 9.367 with a 60' of 2.252 and trapped 77.49. In the one against the Civic Iran 9.393 with a 60' of 2.206 and trapped 76.34. Time slips to come later when I can scan em.

haha that's sad. i believe its at about 5-5.5 psi. i ran it with 101 octane too and the car pulled hard. i just fucked up bad as you can see in the videos. i was so disappointed with myself. bah.

For a newbie, you did good on your 60' Chris, cutting it down to 2.0 will give you better numbers. Trapping an avg 78mph on a CL-P is ok. are you tune yet? You need to get a tune. 101 octane is only necessary if you're boosting higher than 7-9psi but it'll help specially if you're not tune...

i use to go at Irwindale, long wait but track is well prep. I always do good overthere, here's my best time over there, i'm # 8741

Your times are not near Sigs... you are over a second and 10 MPH slower.

Your times are actually pretty good given your car.. you cut a better 60" then most of us do our first times out.

Track car.

Not bad for fiirst time out. My first runs were more of the redlight variety. 60 foot times themselves not terrible for heavy FWD, just looks bad in vids what w/ a Mustang and then that Civic just damn hooks up. Obvious advice would be to calm yourself, time the light and be more aggressive so as get on the gas sooner. If you don't redlight a few times you won't know how close you can get. Would be interesting to see what your car is capable of in the 1/4.

LOL didn't really want to break his heart that's why i choose not to say something

Cris, you should go with me at Fontana or Famoso sometime this January, my car should be done by then. Just like what monkeybutt said, you have to chill when you're at the line, make sure you have you're RPM @ 2500 and hook up well first before mashing at the throttle, keep practicing your launch
