All I know is that I have some crappy luck. Last August, my car got keyed pretty bad from my right front fender to my door. Managed to fix that, but this past weekend my roommate was getting into the passenger side and was like, "whoa you got a bad ding". I run over to the side and there was a door ding w/ some blue paint and dent, right in the same place where I got keyed. What the crap is that?!? I'm starting to hate my car.

After getting two door dings, I am VERY careful where/how I
park my car now......

 

I gained another ding today, just behind the driver's door,

I paid $130 to remove couple dings, then the next week I have 2 more, It does not matter where I park, someone will love to park next to my CLS and put a ding or two on my CLS

I now get angry for 30s, get the Meguire's Xscratch remove, the paint scrtach... and just forget it...

Now my CLS looks like a beater and needs a wash and wax care...

I decided that in year or so, I would be trading my CLS for a better car, AWD 300+HP, SMG and a NAV...

Then I would be a happy guy again.

It seems like the more I care for this car, the more bad shit happens to it. I have dings on both sides, paint chips everywhere, and a rim scratched by a car wash, as well as numerous rattles inside, including the sunroof. So why bother, its just a car and shit will happen to it no matter what.

Yeah, I do park far away, but so what, they seem to find it necessary to park next to me, and they all seem to drive a 1981 Buick.

I have been driving my CLS for 20 months now, With 30,000 miles it is not a new CLS after all, It isjust a car that geting its fair share of beating...

16 months more and I am sure that it would the time to trade up.

We buy cars to drive them hard and USE them, not to baby them like a week-old child..

Yes, you get upset cause some asshole damages your $30,000 ride..

I have been asked why not buy a $10K 4 cylinder beater and keep the CLS for the nice wheather weekends... I guess I bought my CLS to be driven not to be parked.

Even if I decide to keep my reliable CLS as my daily beater, I am sure I will be buying my $40k-$50k real sport car, AWD, 300+HP, 6-speed SMG, NAV. This one will be garaged and have out for a spin or two with nice warm weather only .... I would not park it anywhere other than it's assign parking space....

I park in the middle of BFE at my apartment. I got my car like 3 weeks ago, and since then I have parked in the same spot everyday. Well, 3 days ago this Ford POS LTD has parked next to me. This car is the original rust bucket. I hate assholes who see a nice car parked away from other cars, and insist on parking next to them.
