My 01 CL-S 5AT and an R32

My car is stock except for some dual tip mufflers, his car didn't sound stock at all, exhaust + more. He had no passengers and I had 1 friend in my car, 160lbs or so. We started at a 10mph roll in 1st. 3 honks and I automatically jumped on him hard in 1st, he started creeping by 2nd and by 3rd he was a couple doors in front of me. I gateshifted at 7100 so I stayed in VTEC all the way through. I know I could've token him if I didn't have my buddy in the car. Not bad though considering they run mid low 14s stock. for the CL-S

I dont know if you would have taken him -160lbs but might have been a little closer. Interested if he was stock or had aftermarket anything? They are awd so def loose power to the ground.

Good race

He probably just did the flapper mod. Is a little valve in the muffler that is activated by RPM. If you take the hose that goes to it and pinch and keep it pinched, it keeps the flapper open. Gives it a nice rumble.. A friend of mine had an R32 so I know some stuff about them..

nice race. You did well because it wasn't from a dig. From a stop is where the R32 really shines but from a roll its a drivers race. They don't trap more than 95-96mph at the track. Very similar to a CL-S auto with Intake.

Yeah.. he was a pretty decent driver, the pause between shifts was practically non existant and he didn't fall back between either.
