hey guys, it's been a while since i've posted on here (probably about a year), but i just want to say that you people driving cl-s's shouldn't be bragging too much about beating mustang GT's, at least ones '96-02. i'm driving a stock '97 3.0 4speed and i've beaten two'02 GT's, one an automatic, and one a 5-speed. oh and by the way....i got on too late, but i have a friend with a '02 GTP with a computer chip, and we raced one night after work. we raced to 100mph and he did beat me by about 1 1/2 to 2 car lengths....so you cl-s's should be handling business if you have anything whatsoever done to your car. don't get me wrong, i'm not putting you down, just stating the facts.....(he only has 20 hp on you stock)

hrmmm, you beat 260hp rwd cars but it seems there's only only chip available for a gtp and it only add's 5 hp and 12 pounds of tourqe, people mostly get them for there gtp's to remove the speed govener, so you couldn't beat a 245hp fwd car ?

Hrmmm, every GTP's PCM has a non-removeable EEPROM. They can be re-programmed but no chips can be added/replaced.

Secondly, if all he did was get the PCM re-programmed he certainly wasted his time as that alone is mostly pointless.

 

no offense red03cl, but there is no way any of those stangs were racing you. FASTVTECCL has most of the shit possible for the 3.0's and he cant beat them without spraying. In fact, he cant beat me without spraying and when he does, its not but like 1.5 cars @ 120. I normally stick up for CL's, but man you cant be telling the truth. I have beaten GT's and its been tough, like maybe 1 car or so. Anyways, most of us will brag b/c its not easy, even with 260hp....sorry man, but i gotta say :whocares:

 

Hopefully we won't get another flame war, cause Mustang owners will see that there's no need to defend themselves against this story.
