thinking about painting calipers....

as you can see by my sig. ive got a Black CL-S with pretty dark tint..so the car is very dark all around....and fairly clean as ive also debagded the "ACURA" on the trunk....i recently got some rims (thanks again nicky pass!!) that are 5 spoke like the stock rims but the spokes are thinner (which i like) and show more of the break rotors, calipers, etc....im considering painting them up but i cant deside what to do....im tempted to go the Shawn S route and just paint them black to more-or-less "hide" them...but ive also got this bug that maybe i should paint them red....maybe its ricey, i dunno, i cant deside....my G/F thinks id be rice'n it if i painted them red but her opinion isnt enough to sway me just yet....i cant deside, i need some help...also, what type of paint do you use on something like this that will stand up to heat, cold, water, road crap, etc.....thanks for any input guys!!

Brake Caliper paint by “Plasti-Kote”
It’s only like five or six bucks at your local auto store.

Post some pics of the new rims...

I can certainly say that if it were ME, I wouldn't do it. Just not my cup of tea...

Used Plasti-Kote Rebuilders Cast Finish 285 Gray

http://www.plastikote.com/plastikote...duct=Rebuilder

Features:
A fast dry enamel formula that resists oil, brake fluid, and gasoline.
It retains its color up to 500o F.

Left off my Signature: My CL is silver
The Cast Finish 285 is a great compliment to the silver paint without being real obvious
I know it will look great on Black as well, the Gray is a real nice dark gray with metal flake
No Rice!!!
The CL is too refined

Our calipers are FUGLY.
Paint them BLACK so they don’t take away from the appearance of your wheels.

See the difference.............
