Mustang Kill!!

I own 2 Mustangs, and was expecting to get pulled by a 96-98 Mustang 4.6 w/5-speed and flows I pulled up to a few weeks ago.
We take off from the first light, I heard him hit it and spin a bit, so I wait till he catches, then floor it. He never caught me!! I actually pulled a link on him before we got to the next light.
Next time I floored it off the line and took him by 2, then we raced again from a roll and pulled about 1-1.5. We kept going past the 1/4 mile, and when I shifted to 4th and I went below the VTEC range he caught up to me.

The guy was about an average driver, and did not blow the tires off the line. He spun for about a second at most.

I was rather pleased when my stock, daily driver '02 CLS beat a Mustang! Now I'm glad I went with the CLS, instead of the Cobra I was debating with.

My G-tech was 15.1 w-1/2 tank of gas, I have added a K&N and synthetic oil since then. Ill post any changes when my tank gets 1/2 full again.

Good Kill

A CL-S v 96-98 GT is a dead even matchup as I see it, 14.8-15.1 bone stock on each depending on conditions.

Better driver won this one...

Well, I did actually pull from him from a roll, which shows I out "muscled" him. I know he would have ate my shtuff if he had some stickies. I just cant wait till the blower is available, I'd like to supprize a few Cobras when I stay with em, if not actually pull from them! Boost is GOOD!!!

Only 1"t" thankyouverymuch!

But the stroker is in the 90 right now, still working on the 86. Not sure of what I want, probably HIGH RPM(8-10k) 331 with a progressive 150-250 shot. At the worst, it will probably hit mid 9's on motor. 90 is looking at mid 11's on motor, not sure what shot I want on that yet. Probably 75. Im trying to keep it a "sleeper" Most think it runs mid 12's. But its setup for the twisties. I basically set out to beat a stock Viper every way possible. I will, once I get the suspension finished!

But I wanted to add that I took another stang this past weekend. It wasn't as good a race as my first, it was closer, but only raced once. I think it was a 96-98 red auto. He stayed on my back bumper the whole time. Crazy to me how two totally different cars, with two totally different powerbands, can run right next to each other.
