Muller Acura Cuts My Seat

Took my car in for service on Friday and found a cut in the passenger side seat! This is in Schaumburg, Illinois, Muller Acura.

They are now giving me the runaround. I alerted the service manager when I picked up the car, and was told I had to deal with the service advisor who originally took care of my car.

So I call the original service advisor today and he says, bring it in on Tuesday.

It's obvious that they're going to screw me. I am fuming, but I didn't scream at the time. I'm not sure what I can do after they screw me.

Any suggestions?!!?

All I can say is keep on thier ass until they get tired of you and hopefully they will fix it.

That really sucks! I know I would be really pissed!

Sorry about the seat. At least I know not to take my car to that place. You are the guy with the blue cl, right?

I have NEVER had a problem with Woodfield Acura. That's why I have bought seven cars from them.

If you are looking for another dealership in the area, take it to Arlington Acura and ask for Devon. I bought my car there and they seem helpful and willing to listen

What kind damn service manager is he, passing the buck to a service advisor. For that reason alone, I would not want to go back to that dealer.

wow.

I been going to that dealer since 1996 (still do). I think they do excellent work. Try to go in there with a cool head and explain everything in person. I hate trying to get what i want over the phone. Being in person works much better.

Im sure they will take care of you. Like everyone else asked... Whos your Adivsor?

I very rarely yell to get what I want. Also, I don't want to post the guys name in public.

I have always been quite satisfied with Muller until now. It's about a 20 mile trip, but I always go to them. Even just to get my oil changed! How's that for customer loyalty.

The only time I haven't used them was when I had a flat. Had to go to a local service station, and decided to get all new tires. Otherwise, once I discovered them, I kept going to them.

Why is it obvious? Go in there with a positive and cordial attitude and let them look at it. Going in there with a bad attitude makes it more likely that something WILL go wrong with the incident, rather than only becoming upset if they actually deny the repair.

That sucks....be careful with how they resolve it...a similar situation happened to me and they said they'd replace the leather....lol
I picked my car up and the whole top half of the seat looked a puckerd old man.....then they said the sun should shrink it in 2 wks....the leather quality isn't the same(and its factory!)... there are still buckles in the bottom of the front of the seat...and its still much looser..its been over a month.

I would suggest replacing the whole top half of the seat or the bottom half (depending on where the cut is) NOT THE COVER ITSELF.....IT WILL NEVER LOOK THE SAME. .....SORRY AGAIN......GOOD LUCK THOUGH

@Redline - Thanks. Your comment was helpful.

@JRock -

Go in there with a positive and cordial attitude
Telling me to go in with a "positive [..] attitude"(!?!) is assinine. Why should I be so "cordial" when they're the ones who cut my seat? Is this in some way a favor that I am to genially acknowledge? Tell me: I'd really like to know.

You've got the entire thing bassackwards. Somehow I doubt that you would be so "positive" or "cordial" if you were the one who had to put up with this. But I wouldn't care to speculate. I make no assumptions about your character, though you have made some about me.
