As of right now, I am stock. Seriously considering cutting/removing the 1st muffler from engine. Not sure how it will sound/perform?

I did that a few weeks ago. I had horrible droning between 2k-3k rpm
I couldn't stand it and had the muffler shop weld it back on.

to OP. I use CT axle backs and I like them. It's a subtle deep tone. I bought them new off the black market

I got ct mufflers new and then wanted it even louder so I got the xlr8 high flow cat. There is rasp when u goose it between 3 and 5 ish but its fast for sure and sounds like an f1 car in the tunnels. It's everything I could have wanted. Aside from another 100 hp lol

I got comptech axle back and liked the way it sounded. Then I added dc sport headers, magnaflow high flow cat, and comptech bpipe. I need to get a video with all the new parts on.

Here are some old videos
Just intake with comptech axle back

With dc sport header, mid muffler delete, and comptech axleback

I went from comptech axlebacks to HKS superdraggers cause they were louder. I have comptech headers.

That's why I just got the hfc. I figured it was easier and could get more power top end, whit the same sound roughly.

bleh I prefer the j spec sounding exhaust personally like Tanabe, anything over 93 db is too fuckin loud, I chose Tanabe cause it was CARB legal and impossible to get a ticket for.

That and the drone on this exhaust is tolerable cause its 92 db, if you need more than that by all means buy a fart can or take off midmufflers and resonators :P

I just got the Tanabe medallion catback installed for $950. It is a lot louder than I thought it would be but that's not necessarily a bad thing... I am very happy with it!

How many miles did you have on your TL when you added the DC Sports Header? Just wondered if the bolts were rusted during your replacement?

Definitely interested to hear what those sound like, most people on here run CT mufflers, or magnaflows. I'm running a vibrant muffler myself
