Mudguards and Fenderwell Trim

CL Lovers,

Just wondering if any of you have put on your own mudguards and/or fenderwell trim onto your CL? I'm looking at getting a 2003 CL Type S and the dealer is charging a lot for it and there is one place I know of on the internet that sells Honda/Acura accessories really cheap. Can you please let me know if it's just simply unscrewing and screwing something in?

Thanks!

Here goes

My car came with the mudguards and fenderwell trim. The trim uses a tape to stick on and the mud guards are bolted in really easily. The fenderwell trim seems pretty pointless, I had to remove it from the front wheels because they were coming off -the car looks better without it.

we talking about the OEM fenderwell trim??? my fenderwell trim was allocated so that u fasten it to the frame of the car up front using the inner fender-guard and black plastic fasteners, and in the back, there's a rubber stopper that secures it to the frame...no tape at all!!! was it black like the OEM trim u got???

gsrblack, AHMotor on the web sells the mudguards and fenderwell trim for less than the dealer...that's where i got my stuff from, and it's really easy to install, just b careful not to scratch the paint while installing...www.ahmotor.com...i'd HIGHLY suggest u get it here if u wanna get it...i personally think it looks good on my baby

Scooter,

So pretty easy to install, huh? Actually, I was going to order them from AHMOTORS once I get the CL-S. I don't have the car yet, so I will wait. Is there any padding or foam between the trim and the paint? Just wondering if water would seep in and warp the paint or anything. Does it come with screws or do you end up taking off the existing screws in the fender well and rescrewing them in with the trim in between?

no pads or foam or anything like that...the fenderwell trim has metal strips with holes allocated for the black plastic fasteners...u take out the fasteners out, pull down the fenderwell lining a little, and slip the trim inbetween...use the black fasteners to secure the hold...and that's it for the front...

as for the back, since there is no fenderwell lining, procedure is different...the metal strips have no holes, so u manually fold the strips underneath the fender innerlip, then use a long rubber C-shaped strip provided to fasten the trim to the body

the fenderwell trim should come standard. The mudguards are a very easy install, don't even need a jack just need to turn the wheel's in the front to get the front ones on. The backs go on easy.
