Your right about that, thats really the only ongoing problem that i have heard about Honda's and Acura's. And about you saying that people would still buy there cars, it actually damaged their sales. That is why the CL was discontinued in 03, their sales had greatly declined due to people realising how bad the auto trannies were. If you notice, they dropped the 2g CL the SAME YEAR because of the trannies. Back to the topic, i'm getting my tranny fluid flushed next week and filled up with Hondas newer formula. We'll see how it goes, I'm hoping to feel a little smoother shifting responce

it's GM for Christ sake! Come on people, we all know they can't do anything right anymore, hence why we keep needing to bail their ass out so they can make even more shitty products! :shakehead
I'm gonna go with a big :thumbsdow on the Fluid.
Stick to what the people at Honda/Acura recommend, after all they WERE the ones who designed the cars....

GM makes a 200+mph supercar, has TONS of racing heritage, and TONS more R&D in their history compared to Honda.
I have used the GM syncromesh and it worked just fine, as a matter of fact it was a HUGE improvement over the old formula Honda fluid. Honda finally caught up to GM's product and now IMO they are very similar in quality.

+1 for gm syncromesh.

no comment...anyway, I used the semi-synthetic gm fluid and I recommend it. It really is an improvement over the new honda fluid. I had a honda mechanic do the 105 and he even commented on how it out preforms the honda tranny fluid. So do what you want but I think youre a bit blinded by your perception of reliability.
+1 for gm syncromesh.

Just an FYI I changed my trans fluid today (120k interval), and I used the new formula Honda stuff. I had GM syncromesh in previously at the 90k change, and I didnt notice any significant difference off the bat.

Whats up with RDX owners?

It could also have alot to do with the current condition of your transmission.
