Mr. Clean AutoDry...it REALLY works!
Since today was a balmy 60 degrees here in jersey, I decided to wash my car and give Mr. Clean a try. When I first heard about this product claiming a dryless car wash, I personally didn't believe it. So I followed all the instructions on the box and got started:
Rinse
Soap (use a mitt or sponge to apply)
Rinse
Mr. Clean AutoDry
To my amazement, the water just sheeted off my car. I was standing there staring in disbelief. Now I know you guys are not going to believe me. Remember, I didn't believe it myself at first. What would normally take me close to 3 hours to do the entire car, this time it only took me less than an hour.
The best part was that it left NO streaks or waterspots, even on the windows. All this without using a single towel to dry!
In the end, I really recommend this product.

downside
I think it's OK, but there is a downside. The soap material seems to have a nasty coating affect on the car (hence the ability for the water to 'sheet' off) and the soap doesn't appear to get alot of the dirt off.
I tried to put some of the stuff in a bucket and srub the really dirty parts on the car, but a) the soap didn't sud all that well, and b) it still didn't seem to remove the dirt as readily as regular car wash soap.
The filter are a great idea, but they seem to not really last that long (or my trial 3 wash one didn't at least, and what sucks is it's hard to tell when you need to change the filter..yes I know the trial one doesn't change colors, but wonder how the regular ones works..oh yeah the regular filter is only good for 7 washes :o :o..which probably converts to three for me since my water is so hard)
I just hope the nasty film comes off as easily as it went on.

I don't think I want to try this one guys. Has there been any long term test on the effect it will have on the paint.
I am sure this product is heavily chemically based.

Neither of my Acura's have EVER been to any KIND of car wash. 100% ZAINO baby ! At least the MDX is 100% Zaino. The CL is half Finish First, then Zaino to present....
They should call that stuff "Lazy Mans junk" .....

Actually, the soap sud really well for me and it removed all the dirt on my car.
BTW, there is an indicator on the filter that tells you to change it when it turns brown.
Oh and the refill is suppose to last at least 10 car washes so it is cheaper than a car wash.
