motor trends 1/4 mile time for 01 cl type 2???
ok heres a question. motor trend put the 01 acura cl type s at a 14.8 1/4 mile. the 01 is obvoiusly an automatic, and they do run the cars stock. whats the deal. i see lots of lightly modded cars in the high 14's. does anyone elses experience model what i have said? is motor trend way off or whats up?? i know theyre pros at driving, but we all drive these cars all day every day, whos the pro now. reply please.

Motor Trend tends to show quicker times. It's most helpful when they do a comparison test and all cars are subject to the same conditions. When they got the 14.8, it was in a head to head test against a 325 auto which it beat easily.

NITROTIGER: yeah tell us your launch secrets?.. and your setup?.. did you lower the tire pressure in the fronts?.. how much gas was in the tank?. whats in the trunk?.. etc etc.. and how much do you weigh

I tend to take an average of the times posted by Motor Trend and Car & Driver, to gauge what a car can realistically do. Motor Trend must test their cars on a down hill slope!

No secret my pressure was at 32psi all tire changing tools in trunk like it comes. and 1/4 tank of gas. and i use ss mode some like some dont but for me it works i can get a little more out of 1st if i gate shift i am going to try that at the englishtown meet!!!! 14.4 i am shooting for!!!!
