This is the only way to eliminate wheel hop. It works great on my Si. Maybe they, or someone else, could come up with something like this for the CL/TL. It's a prety simple set up and it really works well. http://www.z10eng.com/index2.cfm

Yes, it works great. It works by pre-loading the lower A-arm. You only pre-loadit as little as possible, as needed, to eliminate the hop. If you pre-load to much it can wear on the A-arm mounts. Here's another fafricator tha makes it for the Civics. http://www.jimfab.com/

So what your saying Brad, is that SOMEONE should contact one of these guys and see if they are willing to custom fab 1 for the CL?
I can't stand wheel hop ... I want a solution too.

Brad I will talk to Eric (typeS1967), I know he is in Jersey and he might be up for this mod since he loves to take the lead.

My how times have changed. Back when I had my 68 SS/RS 396 cid 375 hp camaro convertible (that had a frame), we would recapture the torque that was lost by the engine rocking on the rubber motor mounts thusly:
Head on down to your local friendly Ace hardware store and buy a few feet of sturdy chain. Bolt chain to the frame and the engine with a slight bit of tension (you have to pick the correct side, naturally.) Of course then, the engines were 90 degrees different from our configuration, and I don't think we have much to bolt to, so, I don't advise this. In fact, because you will have more torque, it just might increase wheel hop. Looked cool, though.

With the Si, we replaced the stock rear mount with poly to keep from breaking the stock one.

When I find out where Jimfab is, I will post up again, or go myself if it's close. I wonder if the TL and CL have the same front end,.... application crossover would be helpfull.

Perhaps replacing the soft bushings used on the radius rods would help? Those K frames as they are frequently called made by Z10 and others actually install something into Civics and Tegs they are normally not equipped with .So perhaps replacing the radius rod bushings with some urethane bushings from a kit for another car could be the solution on a cheap budget.

Just a guess here but I think the front radius rod bushings for a Ford Explorer vintage 92 or so might be made to work .You can get these from Prothane.com .I seem to remember these trucks had about the same style bushing we use .But no doubt some mods will have to be made to them .I could not find a direct application for the CL or TL .

I was pointing out that it isn't much of a problem for me - i have to be in the right RPM range to get them to bounce around.

1. Get the part number for the Acura front radius rod bushings and order.
2. Order two "Poly" front radius rod bushings for a Ford Explorer vintage 92
3. Modify the Ford bushings to match the Acura bushings and return the Acura bushings, or send them to a manufacturer of poly kits, to copy.
4. Install, the bushings and comence the testing!

So you 6 speeders are experiencing wheel hop? I had it happen all the time in my auto 01, but not once in my 03 mt. I drive it hard at times, and have had no wheel hop. I hated it in the 01. Made me not wanna launch hard. Dunno if its just me. Anyone heard of www.energysuspension.com. They make suspension and motor mounts that are made to decrease wheel hop. Not sure if they make it for our car thou. Just started looking at it the other day.

I don't think they make a kit for the cl, but they have one out for the RSX-S now. Would that be similar to ours or a diff setup? Maybe some people should call and try to get them to make a kit for the cl/tl.
