Sorry to hear about that sidemarker.

Call or email Greddy and see what they say. You might be able to just get the mufflers.

well if you have the right tools and the bolts arent seized then probably 30 mins

oh yeah let me shed some more weird stuff

last night it was pouring and hailing all night

i got home at 1 am

my mom got up at 4 am

we left for houston at 6 am

my sister finds out at 8 am

my mom usually parks behind my sister and when she does she parks behind her she always parks like 2 inches away from her car!

but since we made plans to leave early this morning my mom parked away so that my sis could leave the house(my mon usually leaves early to go to the store or work out)

those guys had some serious balls!!!!!

Connect your battery to your exhaust.

That sucks though sidemarker hope it all works out for you. You might be able to get just the mufflers off of ebay.

Get the motion sensors that they sell (somewhere on this site). They work with your existing security system. I am buying three - one under the hood (HID headlights), one under passenger compartment, one under trunk. I hope you are able to buy what you need to fix your car. Good luck.

On a side note - I once knew a guy that took a tranny out of an old camaro. He even had the balls to go and get a wrench he needed right in the middle!!!

Tack weld the mufflers on. Just a 1/4" long weld would require loud grinding or hammer and chisel work.

Leave a bananas in the tailpipes at night or when you think they are "stalking" your car.

Also, you might think about leaving some "super glue" on some critical parts so they can get their hands stuck. Just think about the fun you can have heating up the muffler with their hands still attached. Can you say "hot merchandise?"

And, finally, see about putting some pepper spray or just get some capsaicin liquid (about 500,000 Scoville units) and put it in a small pump-up aerosol bottle. If they remove the muffler, rig a safety wire to give them a squirt in the eyes and nose and you can follow the screams down the street...

LOL..... You guys are just to funny with your devised prevention schemes.
I don't know how your drive way looks but try parking rear end first against a wall. This would make it uncomfortable to try to remove. Give them the least space to work with. It would help also to have air bags on your ryde, in this case you would just slam it to the pavement. You might also want to put your car in the garage, if you have one. If all does not work out right, purchase a small surveillance camera and focus it on your valued posessions.

See if you can find security bolts for the mufflers. The ones that require a special tool to remove.

Wouldn't the glue dry in a matter of minutes?

Even cheaper is to have someone put a tack weld on the head of the bolt. That way no one can get them off without removing the weld. Cheaper, harmless to the muffler. Worst case is you have to buy new bolts when you want to remove them.

I've had problems with people doing shit to my house and our cars in our driveway multiple times. The police even offered to put up a surveilance camera for us. I would suggest a motion light on your driveway, and a security camera too if your that worried about it and wanna catch these fags.

Nah, the stuff dries a bit differently than other types of glue. It WILL dry on contact with the second surface (hands); it will dry with an accelerator (it's called "kicker"); it will also bake off when the muffler gets hot.

Depending on the type, moisture, and other factors it may sit around for a while. The moisture in hands sets it up really nicely!

I personally prefer the Habanera pepper/Capsaicin special...

Sidemarker, Do you have somewhere you can back the car very very vlose to , I'm talking damn near rear bumper touching something ? I had an Ex G/F whose brother did this with his 4 Runner, used to back it as close to the garage as possible (for stereo security).

i could do something like that BUT

is it worth taking the time and the risk of maybe hitting the garage or another vehicle?

also our drive way is only wide enough for 2 cars and we have 5 vehicles and everyone comes home and leaves at different time

its already a pain in the ass to park at my house

if i lived in an apartment complex or an area that im not familiar with i do park in a way that may be not easy to access the car but to do it every night at home well i guess you can call me lazy...

with a big jack + right tools.. greddy evo MUFFLERS can be taken off within 5 mins. especially since accord's greddy evo mufflers hang very low.

it is harder to steal the mufflers if u weld the mufflers with the piping.. but if they really want them.. it is still doable with the right tools.

just weld that shiet... I did that on my old catback when I had my civic. There's always ppl looking ofr a quick buck. take it to the local body shop and weld those babies on. Just make sure that before you weld them, you get some good new gaskets so you won't have to think about it if it didn't go on right and there's a leak. Don't weld the whole thing to the piping, just weld around the bolts.

It's a really easy and cheap job.
