Most Effective Shift Knob @ Reducing Throw Distance

I'm trying to find a shift knob that is 1) an easy install and 2) decreases the throw distance of our damn shifter! I feel like its a stretch to hit 3rd gear with our OEM shift knob.

Can anyone suggest any? I don't want to have to do any drilling or modifying crap, etc. Just something that swaps out for the stock knob, thats noticeablely shorter/heavier. Thanks!

A TL knob then is what you want. It's a direct replacement & the boot fits. Anything else you will need to mess with the boot to make it look right.

The TSX knob is much heavier, metal, and much shorter. Plus it has perforated leather and metal top, better for cold or hot weather than all metal ones IMO. Screws right on., but the boot has to be rigged to it , not difficult, use a washer on the stem. The TL knob is good too.
The TSX knob is $75, I think the TL is $50?

Get the Neuspeed short shift adapter kit. I read there is also a shortened lever available. Get a short knob. I went with Momo because it's the shortest out there that doesn't look like crap and doesn't have metal on it to burn your hand.

I installed the TL-S knob. Its got the clips for the boot so it was easy to put on. The dealership wants roughly $90, pricey if you ask me but I got it for alot cheaper with my boy's employee discount

HondaVtec21- What is the part # any idea? I'm trying to order a 6-speed TL shift knob as well, and $60 isn't too bad at all. Thanks man.

this is my setup as well. looks and feels alot better. as for the distance...in theory it is shorter but not noticeable. it is a hassle free upgrade and it still looks stock. love this upgrade

This is my set up as well, much nicer feel, however, the thread ribs sorta get on my nerves... they arent placed in a comfortable place. But you get used to it...looks so much better too... and super easy to install!!

its not the thread rib position that bothers me, its how the stitching doesnt line up with the CL boot. i might replace it

I see post three. It looks just like the tl shift knob. I read that the tsx shift knob had "r" on it. Just wanted to see same angle position as the tl picture shown.
