Old people. They are unpredictable. You know the kid in the CLS (hehe, not me of course) is gonna be obnoxious, flying down the road, but those old people, well, you just don't know WTF they are going to do.

Where's the "all of the above" option? I hate them all, except for maybe the old dude in the vette - they would never endanger their baby.

If you drive for 10 minutes in Miami you'll end up hating all foreigners and elderly drivers.

Spend 10 minutes driving in the suburbs near me and you'll end up wanting to take an axe to some soccer mom and her kids.

I guess i fall into the "teenager with a fast car" catagory, but I actually pay for my ride, drive carefully, and know how to handle the car. Most teens with fast cars have had them given to them and know jack SHIT about driving properly. Not to mention they want to compensate for small penis syndrome by showing off.

I'd say old people are very dangerous because I lived in a town where half of it was retirement homes and it was common to find old people driving down the wrong side of the road and not even realize it!!!

However, that said there are a lot more people driving SUVs (not just women!) who are irresponsible with their driving because they think SUVs are All-weather vehicles where you can do 80mph on a highway when there is 3" of snow on the ground and black ice underneath. AWD = All wheel drive, not all wheel stop!

People driving SUVs in bad weather and talking on cell phones is just asking for disaster!

Where are the BMW drivers? They seem to think they own all roads they grace their presence on

But teenage driver wins by more than a hair

I can't honestly vote for old people because some actually have good response times and are wise in their old age (can see things coming, know how others will react on the road from experience, etc).

Teenagers do some messed up stupid shit sometimes, like drive on the shoulders to avoid traffic of lights.

Women on SUVs are just scary, though. They NEED to get their H2 to the grocery NOW!

The insurance company actuaries answered this question a long time ago, and their findings reprove themselves over and over again.

Young males are the most dangerous drivers on the road.

C'mon folks read the question. He said the dangerous driver, not the one you hate or the one you get pissed with; but the one who is going to get you killed.

1.When was the last time an old person tail-gated you at 85 mph?
2.When was the last time an old person running late for work ran a traffic light 5 second too late?
3.When was the last time an old person missed the DO NOT ENTER sign and met you head on going up the Off-ramp? Ok, all the time, but you missed them easily didn't you?
4.When was the last time and old person made a left turn in front of oncoming traffic using poor judgment and you almost t-boned them?
5.When was the last time an old person ignored the school zone or the work zone speed limit and was doing 20 over endangering workers, pedestrians, and students?
6.When was the last time an old person couldn't afford to maintain their car and continued to drive with a busted windshield, no headlights at night, bald tires, or poor brakes?
7.When was the last time an old person was driving too fast for slippery conditions and could stop in time thus rear ending you while you sit at the stop light?
8.When was the last time an old person said to hell with the snow and ice, I have 4WD, and skidded over into your lane?
9.When was the last time an old person made a sudden turn or changed lanes wildly without warning, no turn signal, or without looking and scared the crap out of you?
10.When was the last time an old person refused to pull over for the fire, ambulance, or police emergency vehicle and made things unpleasant for everyone else on the road?

Shall I go on? If you are looking for old people to kill/hurt you, you'll probably get caught with your pants down when it happens to you cause they're not your enemy on the road. I'm looking out for the inexperienced driver; the person who doesn't know what to do when the situation calls for action. I'm looking out for the road rage and the fast drivers; somebody late for work and pretty much ignoring all the rules. I'm looking out for those talking on cellphones and not paying attention to their driving. I'm looking out for the alcohol and the drugs. I'm looking for testosterone and show-offs. Not a nuisance old guy who can't make up his mind which right turn into a subway to make. Or a slow moving old lady retired and just out on the road just to be out. I hate them too, but I missed them and they miss me. Since I am in control of my vehicle, I'd hardly let a blind old lady hit me.

Old folks will never have their licenses revoked or curtained...not until they are 80....or older. Cause the adults know where to look first for trouble....teenagers...males. Sorry but I have facts on my side.

Sorry for the speech but those who point out old drivers as anything more than a nuisance are just looking for an excuse to clear the road and pretty much take over. Debated often but...ain't gonna happen.

Ken...if its who is gonna get me killed...then yes, teenagers...

Dangerous is a pretty general term...

From my experience, I have had an old asian lady hit me from behind at a traffic light, and i have an old asian lady hit me cause she didnt check her blindspot...

Although they wouldnt have killed me, with the way they drive, its not extreme enough to kill...but they do cause damage.

I am only speaking from personal experience, im not basing my vote on statistics.

Another one is TAXI drivers, the cab drivers in Toronto are SO FUCKING SCARY to be around.

How about drunks behind the wheel? They are the worst. After that...people who think that they have something to prove and drive their cars beyond their limits?

Sorry guys but a young man w/ a sports car thinks he is invincible. Therefore, everyone else is a potential victim.

Old people lack response time and are a danger to both themselves and the cars around them.

If they had to take the drivers test again 1/2 of them would fail the test and/or eye sight exam.

So what. Mostly it means nothing. If the young person was taking the test from a examiner following them in the car behind, they would fail too. No stopping before turning on red. Cross the double yellow center line. Obstructed forward vision with graduation tassles, radar detectors, cds in the visor, dark shades at night to look cool. Putting on make-up, talking on the cellphone and not paying attention, changing cds, eating breakfast, watching the baby in the rear seat every 15 seconds...these are the dangerous activites of a young person.

Old drivers make up for lack of response time by driving slower and reasonable. Old drivers make up for not knowing the exactly numbers for distance to signal before an intersection, how far away to shut off the high beams, and counting car lengths with experience.

Old drivers are about as dangerous on the road as ten-year olds with handguns. When they go wrong, yes they go major wrong. But most of the time, it's not even an issue; like an accident waiting to happen that never happens.

Drunk drivers are 4 times as likely to get into an accident then a sober person. Incendently, drivers using a cell phone are also 4 times as likely to get into an accident. Watch out for the drunks on the cellphone

What I think really 'causes accidents is the a--holes in the high speed lane that are driving at or below the speed limit. I think those fuckers should be shot. Get the fuck out of the way, 'cause you're holding up traffic. That mirror attached to the windshield allows you to look behind you. USE IT!! If you see a Red CLS coming up on you like a bat outta hell, move the fuck over. THANKS.

I went to Maine last month as saw a bunch of "left lane for passing only" signs. Good for them. I think more states should start posting 'em.

Now, don't get me wrong. I do drive slow sometimes. I own a VW bus that has 67hp. It weighs about 3700lbs (it's a camper). It's slow as molasses, so I stay in the far right lane. If I venture into the left hand lane it's because I'm passing someone going slower then me (slower then a vw bus ??).

i voted suv, but now that i think about it

im 16 and i think ill give a fair explanation of why i think that young drivers are the worst. i am, or at least i concider myself, one of the more reponsible teen drivers. most girls at my school drive land cruisers or flashy lexus suv's (LX470 or whatever) or bmw's, and most of the guys own the X5 or gti's. People drive really really irresponsibly, they never pay attention to the road, always turning around and looking at their friends and such. They always blow off stop signs and look at you like you did something wrong for honking.
Im much more responsibly then most. but im still a teen, and every now and then i just do stupid shit cause I: a) am frustrated and take it out on the road b) panic.
now, if an option was "teenage girls in BMW suv's" i would pick it in a heartbeat

Not only teenagers actually, also people in their twenties and even early thirties....man when they are driving cars like Civic, integra/RSX, IS300, 3-series, Evolution, and WRX you better be careful.

IMO,

people w/4000+lb SUVs, who try to pilot them as if they handled as well as a s2000 You know who these folks are guys, they ride your bumper all the time in their SUVs, weave in and out of traffic in their 4k+ lb SUVS, and then flip you the finger b/c you didn't let them pass

I was amost killed by some dumb fvck soccer mom with an Excusion a few months ago. She blew a light, I did a 180 to avoid her (a couple of inches), and she drove on. I honestly think that she never even realized what happened.

Those things should be illegal, or you should have to take a new driving test in the thing in order to drive it....

I'd say an older foriegn woman driving a minivan on a cell phone would probably be the worst. After that, it would be us Sacramento twisty drivers, at least according to our speed challenged buddy Maximized

it is factual that old people can be dangerous on the road. Poor eyesight, reduced reaction time, and other contributers due to the normal process of aging...............

some stupid fuck in an older 328iS turned on his high-beams on the highway after I passed him and just kept driving with them for at least 50 miles

I think those soccer-moms in the minivans and SUV's on their cell-phones are especially dangerous...but so are punk teenagers flying around in their riced-out pieces of shit

Dont know how it is in other parts of the country, but i swear to god there is not one person around my area that drives a Grand Cheroke well. Not one of them uses there blinker, they drive a minimum of 80mph, swerve in and out of lanes....its ridiculous. Like they litterly NEVER use there blinkers, and i cant fucking stand that....i sometimes think grand cherokes dont come with them at all. Its realy frustrating.

I was reading somewhere that OLD people actually have insurance rates just as high as teenagers.

Soccer moms in SUV's and fustrated road rage fathers in minivans are a deadly combo.

Personally I'm young and I don't drive like a maniac. I do feel that young drivers are horrible though, probably the worst if not worse than old people.

Ok, I guess by old you mean 80...maybe even 90.

Like maybe 25 old people on the road in your city at any one time.

Yeah, they're dangerous...look out for them.
