I know everyone has complaints about our trannies, especially when shifting from 2nd to 3rd, but does anyone else notice problems between 3rd and 4th? My car has been shifting extremely sluggishly between 3rd and 4th lately, and I mean more so than with other autos. Even while I'm just cruising at about 40-45 MPH sometimes it starts hunting for a gear and makes the car really unsmooth. Is this just that our trannies really suck or are these signs of a tranny soon to give out?

 

never had a problem with my tranny. bought in 3/00, so it's one of the earlyish ones.

but then again, i drive non-aggressively 90% of the time.
