has anyone changed out their steering wheel? if so what hub do you need to mount up the wheel? also what should expect to pay for the swap not in cluding parts?

No reason to do that.....as fast as most of us drive, taking out an air bag seems pretty dumb

Unless its a show car. The only ones who have done so are ones with show cars, and they would probably know best. Either xkrazix or Esserak Houtz would probably be able to help you there.

Buy a new stock wheel. Aftermarket w/o airbag = :ghey: You have a $30k "entry-level" luxury sport coupe, not a Civic hatchback.

:wtf:

Hows it getting worn out only after 3 years and what probably 50k miles?

My dads BMW is 17 years old with 170k miles and the wheel is fine. My brothers car is a 1999 with 90k miles, and the steering wheel is fine. Not sure how your wearing out so fast. Seats usually wear out before steering wheels.

I'd rather have an "ugly ass F15 button" that is placed somwhere rarely seen than an ugly ass momo steering wheel featured in 2Fast2Furious.

where on our car is that?? the cup holder out of question and i cant put it bellow the change tray (blocks the obd2 plug) and wont put in in the center con. so that pretty much rules out every spot where you can reach it that is not in plain view

Here's an idea/project for you to ponder. Why don't you swap the smaller, Sportier RSX steering wheel in. You could still keep a steering wheel with an airbag which would keep you from being Illegal and also, if the RSX wheel had radio controls on it you could rewire them for nitrous. So with this you'd have the best of both. I agree with you on the Momo steering wheel though, there are some nice ones...some really nices ones, but I think if you did the RSX swap it'd be 10 times cooler.

Maybe a lil more expensive. A momo runs about 150-200+. I thought you guys would be a lil more creative though. Get it either off Ebay or you visit an RSX board (Club RSX) and beg for a cheap one there. Oh...what's this? (not exactly New) Check it out>>>RSX Wheel

...there's an even cheaper one bidding at $25, but it's titanium interior color. You could dye it?

I am actually one of the few people that don't mind aftermarket steering wheels.

I installed a Momo steering wheel, Momo seats, 5 point harnesses, wheels, and such in a 2001 CL-S, but as people stated above it was a show car. We also removed the passenger airbag and installed a fire extinguisher in that with a plexi/carbon fiber cover over it.

However, seeing that it is illegal to remove the airbag from the vehicles that are so equipped, you are not going to find the correct hub at most parts stores. You can use a hub from a Honda Accord, but you'll have to find one online or from ebay. They aren't expensive, probably around 50-60 bucks. I know places like Advance Auto Parts and such sell those APC steering wheels and sell hubs for Civics and such, but only those that are pre-airbag era.

Actually, if you want, PM me and I can get one for you!

Aahhh, it's nothing. The project had actually been in my mind for a couple weeks. I'd really like to see it done.
