Modifications that do not void warranty
Got my cl like 15 days ago. I would like to do some mods that do not void the warranty. The mods do not have to be racing the can also be for looks only. Thank You

You are protected by various laws regarding such things as modifying your car.Basically unless it can be proven that a particular mod caused you car to fail you cannot be denied warranty service on your car.The law you need to look at and read is I believe called the Magnussen warranty law. Here at the dealer where I work we go to great lenghts to make certain that everyone is taken care of and as such we do not take the attitude many other dealers do regarding modified vehicles. However many dealers due to lack of knowledge regarding the law or simply because of the wrong attitude will simply turn you away.read up on this law and you will better understand your rights.Jens

First off, I took my CL in for warranty work WITH CUT SPRINGS last week. They were actually impressed...it was not a problem at all.
Second, I used to take my Accord in for warranty work with with Hydrualics, NOS, chromed motor, every performance bolt-on imaginable...it depends what the problem was. My power door locks went out, and none of my mods were responsible for it...therefore, it was fixed under warranty. If I had a suspension issue, then I could see it not being covered by warranty. If you ever have problems, there is a 1-800 number you can call. It's a non profit organization that will fight for your warranty rights. I'm not sure what it is off the top of my head.
