Unhappy Modding woes. . . help needed!

Alright so here's the situation I just lowered my car 2" F 1.5" R adjustable Tockico shocks. When accelerating I'm getting a feedback through the steering wheel and can even feel it in the gas pedal similar to when you have an unbalanced tire. . . but I know it's not the tires. I've had this issue before but only when it was cold out and I would accelerate up a hill. . . that time I replaced the C.V. axles and it fixed the problem. So I'm thinking it may be axles again or possibly engine mounts (I'm on stock mounts and dampers). Also I've been fooling around with the adjustment on the shocks softer seems to absorb the vibrations a little bit. . . Any experience or advice is greatly appreciated. In the mean time I'll keep fooling with shock adjustments and see what that does.

Definitely sounds like axles or possibly the mounts.

Do you feel it all the time?

well since u lowered the car the axles are now rotating on a different axis which could induce ur symptom presuming it was not noticeable when u were at stock height .. as for engine mounts there is barely a different load on them now that u are lowered (aside from the angle of the car which will transfer the weight on the mounts a little differently.

but it sounds like it's something that's rotating.

but yea i'd likely have to point my finger then at ur axles :-(.

seems like the newest problem the CL is having on the forum with all u 6 speeders.. axles just aint cutting it

do ur axles have a warranty on them ?

I guess if you really dont want to do the work, $500 isnt horrible.

But an afternoon and $200 (max) in parts is all it is.

No, just under acceleration. . . I put the shocks softer and it seems to have absorbed some of the vibration. Hopefully I can pull it apart and the problem is visible. . .

Yeah usually how it goes . . .
Any recommendation on axle brands? I know civic you've snapped a bunch of the GS P ones those I could get the cheapest at a little over $100. Anyone have any experience with Duralast (Autozone) or Master Pro Select (Cardone/O'Reilly's)?

Oem axles are fine. I am still on my first set. The autozone and advance auto ones are crap tho. The oem will start to corrode/rust after many years. Mine have 10 years of corrosion and still fine so far.

Well I didn't have the tools and never have done anything like that.
Oh that included a 4 wheel alignment too

To tell you the truth. I didn't ask him what kind he put in but he has always been known to use good parts. He stands behind his work
