Since you live in New York use Mobil 1 0W-30 during the winter months and 5W-30 during the summer months.

You could use 0W-30 year round if you wanted. 10W-30 is too thick especially during the winter months.

I have been using Mobil1 ow-20, it specifically says it is used in applications where 5w-20 is recommended, in Honda and Ford products. Someone has said that since they took the graphite out of the Mobil1 it is the same a Castrol synthetics, dont know if I believe this or not.

i really admire anyone who ran their car over 200k miles. from some of the oil analysis i have seen, mobil1 actually has higher wear rate than some conventional dino oil. maybe because the thinner side of mobil1 5w30, and 10w30. its more like a 20w oil, hints great fuel milage and the higher engine noise. but its not a bad oil. its a PAO base oil, it retains its weight better than dino, wont break down in long oil change interval, and has high amount of calcium for cleaner engine.

10-30 is fine. Your car will not notice the difference.. I use 10-30 since 7,500 (now at 85,000), you'll be fine with it..

I have some valvetrain noise, can I use a thicker oil to combat it? I run 5W-20 now. Would 10W-30 make a difference? I see no weather below 40, but it does get real hot in the summer.
