What's the difference between a "strut" and "sway" bar?

Strut tower braces mount on the top of your shock(strut) towers - our front one you can see when you pop the hood - there's a stock bar on ours.

The swaybars are down near the bottom of the suspension and connect to endlinks that are near the A arms or whatever you want to call them on our car.

From what I know, sway bars help control body roll, strut tower bars are more for chasis/body flex control (rigidity).

Thanks for the answer JRock. Another question...

Going by your explanation, as I read it, couldn't you say reducing "body roll" and increasing "body flex control" or "rigidity" are the same things???

I'm sure they're not, so I'm looking for a little more explanation.

Yep, valueTL hooked me up. I only have the upper one on, we couldn't get those lower bolts off I'll get it on tomorrow.

It feels sooo much more solid at 130+ With just the upper on I feel a hell of a lot more confident than I did before.

So does this enhance handling??? Would the sways enhance the handling even further?

Yes, it makes the front end firm and tight. I'd think that adding sways would help even more, but I could be wrong.

it'll probably rub against the stock strut tower bar a tad under VERY heavy cornering. Its a tight fit but won't be a problem.

There is a ton of space around the lower bar

Ugh, that sucks Astro... I have about 3 inches of clearance. Maybe I'll have better luck. *hopes*

There is a little muffler shop that Jeff goes too in Plano, Danny.
